Miami Heat 2001-02

Week of November 20th

Heat News:
The Heat lost their 6th consecutive game, their most under Pat Riley. This seems to be a disasterous season in the making,as the Heat are starting out badly.Injuries to C Alonzo Mourning,F Brian Grant, and G Kendall Gill are hurting.6 straight loses. The longest 3-Point in the game streak in the NBA ended. So far, this is a season I feel like I should sleep through.

Injury Update:

C Alonzo Mourning,G Kendall Gill, and F Brian Grant have all participated in shooting drills, but none of them are set to return.Mourning is out indefinately,Grant is out for at least one more game, and Gill won’t be back for a least another month.

Discuss:

I don't hate to say this...well I do actually...but i told you so. I knew right from the get-go that this HEAT team wont be productive this year. No-namers can surprise you at times, but this is no playoff team...Eddie Jones is playing like Michael Jordan (of old)...dont laugh, cuz even tho he isnt putting up Jordan-like numbers of the past, he is the only one scoring decent points. My man Grant is doing nothing, Zo is good at times, but yes he is at the downfall of his great career...This year i dont even have a favorite player (besides Zo who will always be my top player). Last year i loved Grant, House, Ceballos and company, but now there isnt much here...Maybe it's just Riley has lost it and is planning to put this team together to try to make the team bad so he has a good excuse to leave...And at this rate, we'll probably never win a championship.
