EVALUATION:
Basit is one of the outstanding players that play in the American East. The senior transger
from the University of Massachusetts is a tremendous pro prospect, with an outside shot of being drafted by the NBA.
Basit is a great rebounder who is good for at least 10 a game. Additionally, since he has transferred to Delaware he
is beginning to show the excellent low post skills that he displayed as a high school player at the storied St. Anthonys
High School. Basit also has good defensive skills and is good for two to three blocks a game, along with playing solid
position defense. Though he may be an NBA prospect he will be there for CBA, IBL, IBA, ABA 2000, and international teams
to select. He is a sure thing at that level.
