Chris Ekwe 6'8 240 F
Evaluation
Ekwe is one of the best post players in the Northeast
Conference, and FDU is in deep trouble when he is not on the court. He can do what
so many inside players can't, he can score in the low post and in the high post. He
is also a factor on the boards where he can be counted on to pull down nine to ten
rebounds per game. He has definite pro potential, and he will more than likely end up
un Europe where he will have a successful career.
Jarvis Mitchell 5'11 180 G
Evaluation
Mitchell is a very tough point guard who played against
some great competition growing up in Flint, Michigan. He regularly played against future
pros Mateen Cleeves of the Detroit Pistons and Morris Peterson of the Toronto Raptors. Such
competition can do nothing but improve your game, which it did for Mitchell. He is an excellent
ball handler and passer who sees the floor very well. In addition to being able drill the three.
The one key aspect of his game that he has is that he can defend. Whether it be on the wing or
on the point Mitchell will shut you down. He is a tremendous talent who will probably end up
playing in Europe, and whatever team gets him will be extremely lucky.
Ike Williams 6'6 225 F
Evaluation
Williams is another one of the standout players to come out of the
storied St. Anthony's of Jersey City program. Though he didn't start until his senior year
Williams was able to garner himself a Division I scholarship. He is without a doubt the most
physical player on the FDU roster, and he loves to play in the post. He has added some perimeter
skills to his game, and is a result he is becoming a better all-around player. Williams future in
profession basketball is probably overseas.
