HOFSTRA PLAYERS
Roberto Gittens 6'7 240 F
EVALUATION:
Gittens is an extremely strong power forward who
knows how to score inside. He can dominate the boards and is a prescence
on defense. His scoring will improve at the professional level, because
Hofstra has basically been a perimeter team throughout his four years with
the Flying Dutchmen. He will be a solid player professionally, whether it
is overseas, with the IBL, or with the IBA.
Jason Hernandez 6'0 185 G
EVALUATION:
A fabulous point guard who gets the most out of his
ability. He can penetrate, pass, and score. Though he spent three years
in the shadow of future Philadelphia 76er Speedy Claxton, he has more than
enough talent to emerge from that shadow. He has NBA range and likes to
shoot the ball when the game is on the line. Defensively, he is as solid as they
come, and he will be able to handle taller guards beacause of his heart. He is
a definite prospect, and he should play in the IBL, IBA, or overseas.
Norman Richardson 6'5 200 G
EVALUATION:
Richardson has definite NBA potential, but probably not
right away. He may have to go to the IBL for a year or two to get
some seasoning. But it wouldn't be a surprise to see him playing the shooting
guard spot in the NBA. If he is available to any overseas team they need to
sign him immediately, beacause he can pass, score and defend.
