HISTORY:

Excellent rebounder who runs the floor extremely well. Has a smooth shot with range to 15 feet. Can feed the post or receive there. Team co-captain.

1999-00: Finished second on the Wildcats in rebounding with 7.3 rpg and fourth in scoring (8.6 rpg), while leading the Wildcats in steals. Scored 10 points and grabbed nine rebounds in 81-67 loss to Kent in second round of the NIT. His excellent defense helped hold Troy Murphy to a season-low 14 points in 86-69 win over Notre Dame. Established a new career high with 17 points, on 8-of-10 shooting, in 72-69 win over Georgetown. Provided 15 points, eight rebounds and two blocks in 78-75 win over Georgia. Notched a then career high with 16 points in 66-57 win at Providence while grabbing 14 rebounds.

1998-99: Became an integral part of the Wildcats lineup as a rookie. Averaged 5.1 ppg and 5.1 rpg. Moved into the starting lineup against Boston College, a switch that gave Villanova a major lift. Made 15 starts on the season. Awarded team s rebounding award at postseason banquet. His 163 rebounds were second on the squad... Enjoyed a spectacular game against Georgetown when he had career highs in minutes (39), rebounds (17) and free throws (7), while his steal of an inbounds pass that led to winning basket as buzzer sounded in second overtime. His 17 boards tied two others for the top rebounding performance in a single Big East Conference game in 98-99. Scored 12 points in first career start against Boston College. Posted six points and six rebounds in NCAA Tournament matchup with Ole Miss.

High School: Led Northwest to the Class M state title as a senior. Scored 31 points and grabbed a career-high 26 rebounds in the championship game and was selected as the games MVP. Averaged 25 points, 16 rebounds, four blocks and four steals per game in as a senior. Averaged 18 points, 13 rebounds, 3.5 blocks and four assists as a junior. Three-time All-State selection. New Haven Register Player of the Year in the state as a senior. Scored over 1400 points throughout career. Two-time Connecticut Dream Dozen team.

EVALUATION:

A strong rebounder with good defensive skills on both the perimeter and in the post. Has good low post moves and could step out and play on the perimeter if necessary. Sales has the ability to play professionally. His size and athletic ability may get him a look by some NBA teams. He has the talent to play professionally, whether it be in the NBDL, CBA, or overseas.
