I use a Mondello oiling system which comes with the big pan and oil pump with a deeper pickup. I had the heads ported by a local guy who builds Buicks. He did a very good job. The motor is topped off with a Torker intake and a Barry Grant Sports Claw 750 carb. I run a turbo 400 with a 32 element sprag and TCI clutches and 3500 stall converter. A 10 bolt rear with 3.73 gears. I went from 12.0s to 11.60s after installing Torque Tech's mandrell bent 3 inch exhaust pipes with StraightLine Performance mufflers. So far my best time is a 11.62 at 116 MPH with a 60 foot of 1.57. Not bad for a 3900 pound car thats driven to the track eh ?? Check out Greg's Muscle Car Site by Clicking Here

Don's (84olds) 1984 Cutlass. It's powered by a 502ci BBC with Ramjet Fuel Injection which is fed by an aeromotive fuel pump through 5/8" fuel line with 1/2" return. Then through a TH400 with a manual valve body and a 3500 stall converter, to a Currie 9" rear complete with disc brakes and a set of 3:73 gears with Detroit locker held on by a Hotchkiss 4 link system coils and air bags. The car runs 1/4 mile in 12.265 on the engine at 111 mph. and runs 11.20s @ 125 mph on the juice. For racing I add a set of MT 28X10X15 slicks and open up the two Y's in the exhaust pipes upstream of the mufflers.
Randy's (ThirdWorld) 1970 442. It's completely stock except for a set of 1 3/4" headers and a Pertronix points elimination kit. It has an 8.5 3.42 posi out of a 72 Buick GS. The motor is kind of tired and won't pull past 4600 rpm so I leave it in Drive and it shifts at 4600 rpm's. It has run a best of 14.02 @ 98.76 on the day this picture was taken. But it is quite consistent!!! Options are factory tach and gauges, Hurst his-n-hers shifter, OAI package, 8-track tape player that works, AM-FM-Stereo, power driver seat, tilt wheel, sport steering wheel, remote mirror, map lite in mirror, AC, rear wing. It's gold with white stripes, gold VT and gold interior. There is NO rust ANYWHERE on this car period. I stripped the original paint in 1994 and painted it with PPG base/clear. There wasn't any rust at all or bodywork under the original paint.

Bruce's 1976 Omega. It's powered by a owner built 1970 Olds 350 bored .030" over. TRW 2320F Pistons, SpeedPro Plazma Moly rings, massaged 403 rods with SPS bolts, 10/10 Nodular Iron Crankshaft. Self ported #6 heads, the intake ports are now .100" of an inch taller than stock big block ports. Smitty at M&J Proformance came to the rescue when I ground too much in one of my intake valve pockets and found the water passage, so he welded it up for me and then fill the crossovers with aluminum, installed divider inserts on center exhaust ports, and then milled the exhaust flange for a perfectly flat surface. I had him add some used stock 2" & 1.625" valves he had laying around because I was short on cash and do a three angle valve job. He also milled the heads .013" so they would be flat, which gave me 72cc combustion chambers because I went a little overboard polishing them. Hooker 1 3/4" headers with 3" collectors exit the exhaust into mandrel bent 3" tubing with Kooks X-Pipe and DynoMax Welded Race Magnums with turndowns. A 25 year old Crane Fireball hydraulic cam with 314 degree's of advertised duration 232* @ .050 and .475" lift with 114 lobe sep still opens and closes the valves. stock rocker arms, Mondello SK-245-D Springs, shimmed .060" to get 125lbs on the seat. Holley Street Dominator intake thats had 10 pounds of aluminum tig welded on the tops of all the runners so the ports could be opened up to match the heads. The plenum has been opened up to accommodate a Dominator carb and runner extensions have been installed. I use a 2" tall 4500 to 4150 adapter upside down and is topped off with a Barry Grant Mighty Demon 750. Self built Turbo 400 with a 10" 3500 stall convertor, 12 bolt rearend with Moroso Brute Strength posi with 3.73 gears. Weld Pro/Star 15x5" rims up front with 215/75/15 radials and 15x8" with 4.5" backspacing on the rear with 275/60/15 BFGoodrich Drag Radials. Car weighs 3450lbs with driver plus or minus 10lbs. Best times to date 12.426 @ 107.84 mph. Has run 11.46 @ 123.11mph with Nitrous but that was before I added the ported heads, so I guesstimate it would run 10.90s over 125mph if I get the hankering to spray Nitrous again. I take pride in the fact that I built or rebuilt everything on this car myself, with help from my wife Michelle.
UPDATE: I took my car out for a spin to a local car show and I hear what I thought was a rod knocking at idle. Had it towed home, removed the intake to hook up my engine leveler. I was amazed how clean the intake ports looked, then I remembered something Bill Koob told me about why he doesn't use aluminum in the heat crossovers anymore because too many customers were having issues of it coming loose in the crossovers, so I took my finger and rubbed the aluminum in the crossover on the passengers side head and what do you know, it sounds just like a rod does when you spin a bearing. Smitty @ M&J said this wouldn't happen if you pre-heated the heads before pouring them with aluminum as he supposedly did in my heads but unfortunately he was wrong. Now I get to have fun trying to drill out all this aluminum crap in my heads out, without hitting a valve seat or worse going into places in the crossover where the aluminum isn't. I'm going to freshen up the short block that is 23 years old and has 63,000 street driven miles on it, not to mention 500 plus trips down the track, couple hundred of those using nitrous. I'd say it's way over due but if the aluminum didn't start rattling around in the passengers side head, I could of be still running around having fun.
Jim's 1972 F-85 442 (one of 751 built) with a 350 bored .030 over with 455 heads and dual quads, that makes close to 500HP. 4 speed with 411 gears. The car is capable of running low 12's to high 11's.

Josh Michels Cutlass S 455. 1970 455 bored .30 over with TRW Forged pistons, about a 10 and a half to one compression ratio, edelbrock aluminum heads street ported and polished with crane gold roller rockers. I also have a Comp Cam 518/518 244 @.50 cam and oil restricted 3/8 inch pushrods, cam bearings, and oil restrictors. Bottom end is studded with main caps and windage tray, stock pump with high pressure spring, nodular iron crank cross drilled, magnafluxed and shot peened. To top it off the motor sports a edelbrock aluminum intake with a 750 double pump Holley. MSD pro billet distributor, blaster 2 coil, and 6AL box for ignition. I also have Flow Techs 3 inch exhaust system (what a difference) definately an awesome combo of raw horsepower. I ran the car for the first time on the track at Lebanon Valley Raceway on 10/19/01. My Best run with drag radials and a turbo 350 with a 2000 rpm stall with 3.55's was a 12.75 @109.3. The car was falling on its face off the line and then taking off like a bat out of hell. Next year i plan to go to a 3000stall convertor with slicks and with some tuning I should run in the low 12's to high 11's easily.
Blane's (Torky455) 1988 Cutlass. I picked this car up for $100 with a running 307 and a good 200-4R trans (sold'em for about $250). The old engine (in the pics) is a .030 over 455 with pretty stock, small valve E heads (chambers cut to 73cc's). Also, a mondello 25-28 cam, performer intake, all stock bottom end except the TRW 2323F's. The divider in the intake has been lowered 1" and the carb is a 750 vac. Holley with a pro-form body. The headers are slightly deformed small block (heddman?) units. Trans is a TH350 witha B&M 11" conv., and the rear is an 8.5" from a '73 Buick with a 3.42 posi. After 70k hard miles, I found some problems with the motor (30% leakdown in #8) so another motor is in the works. New motor will be another .030 over 455 with Speed-pro L2323F's, but the bottom end is getting ARP rod bolts & main studs. Also, 7qt. pan and windage tray. Rotating assy. is getting balanced too. Best ET & MPH with beat motor was a whopping 12.80 & 105. I am looking to improve that by atleast 1/2 sec with the new mill. I included a pic of the dash, cause I'm really happy with the way it came out (spent a lot of time on it). This car is driven 7-10 thousand miles a year.
J Blusnavage's (Oldsmobeast88) 1967 442 convertible with a 425 and a 4spd. My best ET so far ir a 12:10 @ 116 MPH.

Best NOS run was a 11.89 @ 119 on 150hp of NOS. This was with a 800dp Holley carb and when the car was running 12.8's on the motor. I didn't get a chance to run the car with NOS now that it was down in the 12.5's. With the fresh re-bearinged motor, new cam, converter, tires, coated headers, I'm expecting to go low low 12's on the motor and low 11's with the 150 HP NOS. We'll see what happens this year. Obviously I have never seen it, but I have been told that the car pulls the left front tire 6 inches off the ground when it leaves the line. I run this car on 93 octane pump gas and drive it to and from the race track 70 miles round trip. It is by no means the fastest car in the foot brake class but it is the only one that is driven to the track.

Dave. aka "Idaho Rocket" 68 Cutlass S 350ci, 9.5to1 comp, after market cam (similar to Edelbrock performer), # 5 heads, stock valve sizes, that have the egr bumps removed, Edelbrock Performer intake topped with a Q-jet carb. Approx. 325 hp and 389 ft/lbs of torque. The engine is backed by a TH400 (standard gear ratios) and a 2000 RPM stall converter. Last time I ran her on the track, I had a peg-leg rear with 2.73 gears, and she ran a best of 15.97 @ 87.27 mph. (smoked the right rear 26" tire for the first 1/8 of a mile) I have recently installed a new rear-end with a posi and 3.42 gears ($50.00 for gears), she should now run low 13's on 28" tires. Future plans are: 4.11 gear set, and build the other 350 in my garage that should turn out GOBS of horsepower and torque (for a small block). I will also step up to a 3500 RPM stall converter.
