Caves We Were Too Lazy (or disgusted) To Write About

Otras Cuevas que no describimos (Por Flojos)

CAVES OF THE LONG-DEAD INDIANS

Located somewhere near Ixtlahuacan, Colima, these "caves" turned out to be old tunnels about a meter below the surface, used for mining an unidentified mineral.

SALITRERA BALCONY

Steve Bowen, Juan Blake, Susy and John Pint found this naturally lit cave, brimming with formations and columns, across the stream from Salitrera.

BAT WITH VINAGRILLO CAVE

Near San Miguel, Jalisco. One room. Gets one point from bat photographers: there are so many bats you can't miss!

AGUA PUERCA GYPSUM CAVE

Full of dirt, if it exists. Equally discouraging cave nearby on Jalpa riverside. Just ask Rick and Marilu!

LA CUEVA DEL MUERTO

Big shelter cave near La Presitas, north of Guadalajara. Supposed to contain human bones but all we found were millions of moths! BUT... next to cave is incredible cliff with view of Santa Rosa Dam & Tequila Mt. Juan Blake rapelled over edge just for the thrill and reports, "You hang in space above kilometers of canyon; every organ I can name was in a knot, plus a few I'd better not name."
