~Wilderness Acres~
(Game 2)
The Yankees took the lead early
with an 8 run 1st inning. No one will ever believe what happened
in the top of the fifth. Paul Malachowsky hit a deep fly ball to
the warning track. Yankee left fielder, Steve Calderone, put his
hands up for what appeared to be a routine catch until the ball bounced
off his hands and over the wall for a THREE run homerun. In shock,
Yankee picher Dan Zohlmann threw the very next pitch only to have it hit
to deep left once again. Zohlmann laughed and yelled "Let's not knock
this one over the fence Steve". The ball then bounced off his Calderone's
hands and over the wall for a solo homerun. After that 13 run inning,
the Mariners scored 5 in the 6th to tie the game. Calderone lead
of the Yankee 6th and was drilled by a pitch right in his ass. Zohlmann
came to the plate and smacked a walk off 2 run homer to right center.
Zohlmann also had a pair Grand Slams. For the "M's" Paul Malachowsky
also had a pair of Grand Slams.
