While talking to South Australia's Rip It Up magazine's Annie Carson and The Nazz, Ledger revealed what's up with that saying, "Yeah, The Patriot... starts shooting in the Carolinas at the end of August. It's a film that's set during the American Revolution but it's not only about America claiming independence from the British, but it has a lot to do with the relationship of father and son also."
Heath Ledger would seem to have a lot of irons in the fire right now. As previously announced, Ledger is set to take on the role of Mel Gibson's son in Devlin and Emmerich's Revolutionary War pic The Patriot. The young actor is also dropping hints that he may take a role in a long delayed Anne Rice project and even play a certain red and blue clad webslinger.
