Royal Red Arabian Horse Show
In August, 2000, I got the chance to go to the Royal Red Arabian Horse Show in Regina, Saskatchewan. I had been there the previous year, but of course I wanted to go again! This show is an international show where all the best Purebred and Partbred Arabians of the US and Canada get together. To me, it was even better than the last time I went! The horses seemed even more goreous than I last remembered!
The year before, I had borrowed a camera but the pictures didn't turn out. This time I took my own camera, but expected the pictures to be all black again since it is dim in the arena. But, to my surprise, some of the pictures turned out! Mostly the ones from the costume class, which was one of my favorite classes! Anyway, here are the pictures that turned out.
These two are from the costume class, as you can tell! Aren't the costumes cool?
There are more awesome ones below!
One of my favorite costumes is the one the black horse is wearing. It was so original. Most of the costumes were black and gold, but this one had a variety of colors.
More costumes! Almost everyone had black and gold!
I liked the grey gelding. He was really gorgeous, even though his costume wasn't that fancy. It was just nice and simple. My sister liked the pinto. She's just about as bad with pintos as I am with black horses *S*
To the right is another shot of my favorite costume!
I tried to get as many horses into this shot, as I didn't have much more film left!
These two were the only ones, besides the costume class, to turn out. The first one is of a Lady's Sidesaddle Class. It amazes me how they can ride and cue with only one leg! The second is, I think, of a Show Hack Class. Don't those horses have lots of knee action?!
