Region:         Languedoc region in Southern France in the foothills
                    of the Pyrenean Mountains very near the 
                    Mediterranean Sea.

Cepages:       Black Grenache, Carignan, Syrah

Vineyard:      Chalky - clay and schistous soils. Total vineyard area
                   is 10 hectares.

Vinification:  Traditional vinification with long maceration and 
                   then aged in oak barrels. 

Tasting:       Domain de Perets has a deep ruby color, a spicy
                   nose and has hints of licorice. The tannins are 
                   smooth but concentrated due to the barrel aging. A
                   wonderful wine to accompany game and casseroles.
                   Serve at 58 degrees.
