Appelation: Saint Chinian
Location: In the Languedoc region
in southern
France, in the wine area of St-Chinian,
in the department of Herault. This
small area is south of Montpelier in the
foothills of Montagne Noire.
Vineyard: 40 hectares
Soil:
Chalky-clay gravely soils, scattered with
schistous layers.
Cepages: Grencahe, Syrah and
Cinsault
Production Methods: Traditional vinification after
de-salking and vatting with
temperature control.
Comments: A lovely wine with ruby color,a
spicy nose of red fruit.
Serving: A perfect compliment
to white meats
and poultry. Serve at room temperature
of 56 degrees.
