Talents, Tricks, and Hobbies

I have many hobbies, but not enough time to pursue them. Since I learned to read, I have been a bookworm. I especially like mystery novels. Since I entered college, I have become acquainted with many writers and subjects I'd like to learn more about. Also, because of school, I can read ten pages per hour. Of course, the rate depends on the material, and if I fall asleep or not.

It's so easy to be a couch potato, and just watch television. I don't watch more than 4 hours a week. I watch just about everything, except Barney, The Teletubbies, Pokemon, and Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. Sometimes I think my TV only gets 3 channels--Mtv, Vh1, and CMT. Just kidding! That's usually what I watch while I eat breakfast and put my shoes before heading out the door. So, you can see I enjoy music too.

When I was younger, I learned to crochet, and cross-stitch. I also was into baking and eating the finished product. I enjoied taking pictures of random objects. Even though the development of these talents are on pause, I hope to take them up again when I finish school.

Most recently, I've taken up writing poetry.
Lacking time, I'm starting out slowly.
Yet, ever since I wrote a poem,
my mind is always thinking in rhyme.
It must be some sick syndrome,
but it happens all the time.

As far as sports goes, I like watching football and WNBA games. I don't do much in the way of physical activity, but I do enjoy swimming and biking. I mostly do these for fun, but it allows me to claim that I'm healthy and fit. The physical activity I like to do most is sleep. It takes me away from my cares and into dreamland.

One of my most addicting hobbies is exploring the internet. It's totally fun, and I like making my own sites. I learned how to develop them when I took Political Sciences 1. It was a class requirment, and that's where I got the idea of making a website for you, my recommendation writers. It's been fun, and I hope to expand its uses. I truly hope you enjoied it, and it helped you get to 'Meet Virginia.'
