Seiya Kou is the lead vocal in the popular idol group Three Lights. He is an athletic, stylish, and romantic 16 years old guy who is always busy with his idol works. Seiya lives with his friends, who are also the member of Three Lights. What happens after he shows up... Seiya shows up right after Mamoru goes to America. He always calls Usagi "Odango" just like Mamoru used to and Usagi, at first, gets really annoyed by that (She doesn't seem mind later though) Soon, Seiya and others transferrs to Juuban High School and ends up in Usagi's class. They eventually becomes friends with inner senshi and hangs around with them alot. Especially Seiya. He was with Usagi like every episode ^^;
As Seiya and others appeared, so did the Sailor Starlights...who looked really like Seiya and others but were in female form. The Sailor Starlights became enemies with the Sailor Senshi because the outer senshi thought they were the enemies from other galaxy, like Sailor Animamates. After a while, the inner senshi and Three Lights found out about each other's alter ego. And that made Seiya and Usagi little uneasy with each other, because Starfighter and Sailormoon weren't great friends at all!... But Seiya and Usagi wanted to see each other again! Of course, the other people didn't let them see each other...(hmmph!) And soon, Seiya's princess (Sailor Starlights were looking for her all along) showed up... but Seiya couldn't forget about Usagi :*( At the battle with Galaxia, Kakyuu Princess gets killed by Galaxia. And Starfighter and others confronts Galaxia. And so does the inner and outer senshi to protect the Earth. During the battle, after inner senshi dies for Starlights. Seeing this, Starlights becomes alleys with Sailormoon and fights with her against Galaxia. Starfighter here, protected Sailormoon whenever he could, risking his life (but never dying!) The Starlights were with Sailormoon to the end and cheered her on when she was hopeless. After the battle with Galaxia, Three Lights and Kakyuu Princess had to go back to their own Galaxy. Seiya, who had to say good-bye to Usagi, told Mamoru to protect her for him... and left...(what an ending! Hmph!) Voice...
Seiya's voice is done by Niiyama Shiho. Who has died of leukemia on February 7th, 2000 :-( Support Shiho-sama at Remeber Shiho
Transform ations and Attacks...
"Fighter star power, make up!" - Seiya says this to transform into Sailor Star Fighter. To transform, he uses a "winged star" transformation item, together with a "winged head set" that he speaks into. There are two versions to this transformation. In the first transformation sequence, Seiya just floats in the space and changes into Sailor Starfighter. In the second version, things are more complicated... ^^
"Star Serious Laser" - This is Sailor Star Fighter's attack. There's three versions to it. In the first version, a circle of stars appear as she raises her arm in the air. Beams of light gather in her hand, and she then throws her hand in front, projecting the laser beam at the opponent. In the second version, a circle of stars appear as she raises her Star Item the stars gathers in it. As she throws her arm out, the beam of light shoots at the enemy. In the third version, she holds her Star Item up in the air and as she throws her hand infront of her, beam shoots at the apponent. Seiya Kou, or Sailor Star Fighter, first appeared in Sailor Moon Stars. Usagi and he shared a very brief romance together. Seiya was part of the most popular music group in Japan at the time, The Three Lights. He attended Usagi's high school and was constantly flocked and chased by girls. He was very athletic and excelled at every sport. He could've had any girl he wanted - that is - except the one girl he fell in love with. Guess who? Usagi, of course! It was love at first sight for Seiya. Once he saw those odangos (meatballs), his life was never the same. He sat behind Usagi in the classroom and flirted with her every chance he got.
Seiya's secret identity, unknown to the Inner and Outer Senshi at first, is Sailor Star Fighter. His home planet was destroyed by Sailor Galaxia, the enemy, and he came to Earth with Sailor Star Maker (Taiki) and Sailor Star Healer (Yaten) to find his princess so they can rebuild their home. They decided to become music idols in hope their songs will reach their princess.
At that point, Mamoru, or Tuxedo Mask, was dead. He was killed by Sailor Galaxia, the villian in the Stars series, on his way to attend Harvard University in America. This was unknown to Usagi, however, who continued to write him letters but did not get any responses back. In one of the episodes, Seiya said to Usagi, "Odango, your boyfriend is overseas, right?" Usagi replied, "Yea..." Seiya then grinned, "Good! That means I have a chance!" Leaving a confused and stunned Usagi.
Usagi found Seiya annoying and egotistic in the beginning, but later she realized he was a caring and kind person with a lovable boyish personality. They quickly became good friends. In one of the episodes, they went on a date together. (Everyone thought it was a date except Usagi.) They went to an amusement park. When the day was almost over, Usagi tells Seiya that she hasn't received a letter from Mamoru yet and became very sad. Seiya told her to cheer up and brought her to a night club for the first time. They were dancing when all of the sudden, the lights went out in the club. Seiya brought Usagi into his arms and told her everything will be alright. Usagi felt a warmth she thought she could only experience with Mamoru. She later recalled that moment again and blushed.
In another episode, Seiya was invited into Usagi's house to be her bodyguard (Usagi was scared because there has been a lot of break-ins). Seiya saw the picture of Mamoru and Usagi together and gently pushed it over. "Don't make her so sad..." he whispered. The Inner Senshi became jealous of Usagi's good fortune (they all have a crush on Seiya) and decided to come over together to "keep Usagi company." Hehe.
When Seiya's identity was revealed to Sailor Uranus (Haruka) and Sailor Neptune (Michiru), they forbade Seiya to continue seeing Usagi because he was an "intruder from space." Sailor Star Fighter and Maker were also upset because they thought Seiya's feelings for Usagi were interfering with their mission. (Seiya blocked off an attack from the enemy for Sailor Moon). Seiya told them he would not see Usagi anymore. But, of course, they continue to see each other! In one episode, Seiya and Usagi share a very sad scene where she was kneeling on the ground, crying, and he was asking her if he was not good enough for her. He told her he loved her and wanted to sweep her off her feet after the concert.
In the last episode, after Mamoru came back to life and the Starlights found their princess, the time for departure for Seiya has came. Usagi said in a sad voice, "It was because of Seiya that I was able to do my best..." Seiya became sad and looked at her in the eyes, "Odango..." Usagi looked up, "Hm?" He became serious again, "I will never forget you." Usagi smiled, "I know! We'll always be friends!" Everyone teased Usagi because she did not catch Seiya's meaning. Before the Starlights left, Seiya turned to Mamoru, "Mamoru-san!" Mamoru looked at him with a confused experssion. "It's up to you to protect her now." Seiya then looked up at the sky and said, "I guess I was being a little snotty." He then departed Earth in the form of a shooting star with Sailor Star Maker, Fighter, and their princess. Usagi looked up at the sky and whispered, "Thank you...Seiya."
There's an entire population of Sailor Moon fans who want Usagi to dump Mamoru for Seiya. Unlike Mamoru, who has always kept to himself, Seiya is more open and fun to be around with. Unlike Mamoru, who was the source of most of Usagi's worries and sadness, Seiya made her happy and forget Mamoru at times. Seiya loved Usagi for herself, unlike Mamoru, who would never have noticed her if he didn't remember their past life together. Seiya's personality and character is much more compatible with Usagi than Mamoru's. But fate has it that Mamoru and Usagi and destined to be together. Sigh.
