font face="Arial" size="4">Chapter 1 Meg goes out to the deck of the boat and starts looking at the water. This was supposed to be her and Ben’s trip. Her and Ben’s first New Year’s Eve together. She can’t believe that Ben couldn’t go. He said that he would be there as soon as he can but it’s no the same.“Are you thinking about him?” suddenly she hears Mark’s voice.
“How can I not?” she smiles weakly.
“You’re upset that he couldn’t come, aren’t you?”
“I’m not upset… I just… I just miss him… I know that he had to go to that meeting, but…”
“Hey, I know” Mark cuts her short and gives her a hug “If there is anything I can do to make you feel better, just name it”
“No, no, I think I just need to survive the time without Ben”
“Yeah… I still can’t believe that he gave you an island as a Christmas gift”
“Gift?” Meg laughs “I’ve never got such a present”
“You are probably among the few in the world… But not many girls are so lucky to be with Ben Evans”
“I guess… He is so amazing… You know, all the things he does to make me feel so special”
“Well, you are special Meg and you deserve to be treated that way”
“Thanks Mark” Meg gives him a kiss on the cheek “Ben is making all my dreams come true… But actually the only thing I want is to be with him forever”
“You will be” Mark smiles “After everything you two have been through, you deserve some happiness”
“I just hope that Ben will get to the island soon”
“I’m sure he will. He misses you just as much as you miss him”
“I know, I can feel it. I just pray that nothing will stop him”
“Meg, nothing can stop Ben from coming to you”
“Gosh, you are extremely nice today” Meg laughs.
“I’m trying” he smiles and turns around “I promised Gabi to meet with her, will you be OK?”
“Sure, go ahead and see Gabi. I’m sure she is waiting impatiently”
“I hope so” Mark blushes “See you”
“See you” Meg shares another quick hug with Mark and he walks away.
“Oh Ben” Meg sighs “Please, hurry up. I miss you so much”

“Hey, I think I see the land!!!!” Michael screams and everyone rushes to the deck to see if he is right.
“Yeah, we’re reaching the island!!!” says Casey happily.
“Finally” Vanessa sighs “I thought I would go crazy here, I was getting sicker and sicker every second”
“Don’t worry scoop” Michael wraps his arms around Vanessa “While we’re on that island, I promise that I will take a wonderful care of you”
“Well, I’m counting on that” she smiles and they kiss. Virginia turns away and Meg looks at Michael and Vanessa a little bit jealous. Vanessa notices that.
“Hey, Meg, don’t worry, soon you will have your guy to kiss too”
“I hope so” Meg sighs.
“Come on” Gabi interposes “Ben would never let you spend New Year’s Eve without him”
“That’s right” Vanessa agrees “I’m sure that he will be with us really soon”
“I just… I just want to hold him and… Gosh, I’m pathetic, aren’t I?” she blushes.
“No, you’re not” Michael smiles “You’re just in love”
“Very much in love” Gabi adds and everyone starts laughing.
“Look guys, we’re almost there” Casey says after a moment and everybody realizes that the land is seen really clear now and that they should be reaching their destination any minute.
“Maybe we should gather our things” Sean suggests.
“That’s a great idea” Casey agrees “We won’t be wasting ant time when we already are there”
“You’re right” Vanessa smiles and they all go under the deck to take all the stuff. Suddenly they feel a strange bump and the boat stops.
“Oh my God, what’s what?!” Vanessa screams frightened.
“Hey, I’m sure that’s nothing” Michael tries to cam her down. Soon, Grogan appears.
“Captain, what happened?” Mark asks worried.
“Nothing” Grogan laughs “We reached the island”
“Oh” Vanessa sighs with relief.
“See, I told you” Michael smiles.
“Does that mean that we can leave the boat now?” Casey asks.
“Sure, go ahead”
“So when will you be coming back for us?”
“I have everything set with Mr. Evans. He’ll tell you”
“OK”
“Have a nice New Year’s Eve” Grogan smiles.
“Thanks” Meg smiles back.
“But remember that there is no way to contact Sunset Beach from the island”
“Yeah, thanks for warning” Casey says and shakes hands with Grogan “Thank you for bringing us here safely”
“No problem” Grogan smiles again and leaves.
“Looks like we really are here” Virginia raves.
“Gosh, this is going to be such a wonderful New Year’s Eve. I’m sure we will never forget it”
“I’ll make sure of that” Mark smiles mysteriously.
“What do you mean?” Meg asks curious.
“Nothing, nothing” he smiles “Come on, let’s get all that stuff out of the boat” he orders and everyone follows the order. Everybody takes one or two packets and that way everything is taken out of the boat. The gang leaves the boat and starts walking though the forest.
“You know, as much as I enjoyed that cruise, I’m glad that we’re finally on the dry land again” Gabi smiles.
“I couldn’t agree more” Vanessa says “With one slight difference – I DID NOT enjoy the cruise at all” she adds and everyone starts laughing. Vanessa gets a little bit mad “I don’t see anything funny in my sea sickness”
“I’m sorry Vanessa” Meg says but she can’t stop laughing.
“Yeah, we were just…” Michael starts but Vanessa sends him an icy look.
“All right, al right” she says after a while “You’re forgiven” she starts laughing herself. They continue walking until they reach a big, old house.
“Wow!” Mark raves “Looks like we’re here. Meg, your new house looks interesting”
“It sure does” she sighs.
Chapter 2
They walk closer to the house just to see that it looks exactly like the one from horror movies – old, thick walls, dirty windows with spider webs on them.
“I wonder if there are lots of these inside” Casey points one of the spider webs.
“And what did you think? That there is a housekeeper who cleans the house once a week?” Mark jokes and everyone starts laughing.
“Who knows” Casey winks his eyes and opens the door “Time to check it out”
One by one they all start walking into the house. Inside it doesn’t look much better if it’s going about the cleanness. But the inside itself makes an impression on all of them. The living room downstairs is really huge, it has one big table in the middle, a coach and a few chairs and armchairs. There are also a few old cupboards and closets. All the furniture seems to have been staying there since the middle ages, what makes the house even more mysterious and a little bit scary.
There are wide stairs on the left and a door opposite to the entrance. The door leads to the kitchen.
“Looks like it’s your part, Jade” Sean turns to her.
“Yeah” she fakes a smile. She hasn’t come here to do the cooking job, but to work her way to lay her hands on Ben’s money. Little does she know that she will not have an opportunity to even start working on that. She fakes another smile when she sees everyone looking at her.
“Jade, I don’t wanna rush you…” Mark says “But we’re starving”
“Don’t worry, she’s great” Sean smiles “I will never forget the Christmas dinner she prepared for our family”
“Well, if you’re so good” Vanessa looks at her meaningfully “Then we’re waiting for something really special”
“Don’t worry” Jade fakes another smile “I do only special things”
“We hope so” Casey adds smiling.
“But it’s gonna take some time” Jade warns.
“We’ll be waiting patiently” Casey promises and looks at his friends “Why don’t we go back to the living room and enjoy ourselves?”
“Great idea” Michael agrees.
“That’s what we came here for” Gabi smiles.
“Yeah, but we can’t just leave Jade alone in the kitchen” Meg says worried.
“Don’t worry, I’ll stay with her” Virginia offers.
“That’s nice of you, Virginia” Mark smiles.
“Well if Sean is right about Jade, and we both know how talented cooker Virginia is… I’m sure that we’re gonna remember that dinner for the rest of our lives” Michael smiles.
“Definitely” Virginia laughs.
“Well then I guess we can all go and make ourselves comfortable leaving Jade and Virginia their space”
“Yeah, that would be great” Jade fakes a hundred smile tonight. The gang leaves the kitchen.
“Before we sit here and start do nothing, maybe we should go upstairs and see our rooms” Casey suggests.
“Probably” Meg sighs “I’m so tired that after I once sit, I won’t be able to do anything.
“Yeah, me too” Gabi agrees “Let’s go to see the rooms”
They all take their luggage and go upstairs.
“Since it’s Meg’s house,” Michael starts “Why don’t we let her choose which room she wants to be staying in?”
“Yeah, I think she deserved that” Casey smiles.
“No” Meg objects “You are my guests”
“Come on, Meg. This is supposed to be your dream New Year’s Eve. Everything must be perfect”
“All right” she gives up and she starts looking into all the rooms. Finally she chooses the smallest one which seems to be the most cosy.
“I think I’ll be staying here” she says and carries her luggage inside.
“Looks like it’s our turn now” Mark laughs and they all start bustling around, trying to make the arrangements. In the meantime, Meg closes the door to her room and sits on the bed.
“I don’t need a great room for this New Year’s Eve to be perfect” she thinks “I just need you, Ben. Where are you sweetheart?” she asks herself, but doesn’t seem to be able to find the answer.
She walks to the closet and starts unpacking her things. When she is done, she sits on the bed again and starts thinking about Ben. She is interrupted by Casey’s voice.
“Meg!” he calls “We’re going downstairs, will you join us?!”
“Sure” she answers and takes a short look in the mirror. For a moment she keeps standing and looking at her reflection. Then she leaves the room and goes downstairs. Everybody is already there waiting for her.
“Here you are” Casey smiles when he notices her.
“Finally” Mark sighs “We thought that you would never come out”
“I was doing some thinking” Meg blushes.
“About Ben?” Vanessa guesses perfectly.
“Maybe” she says confused.
“Hey, you don’t have to hide anything from us” Gabi looks at Meg and smiles “We all know that you miss Ben tremendously”
“I do” she admits and collapses on the couch next to Mark, Casey, Vanessa and Michael.
“Don’t worry, Meg” Mark tries to calm her down “Your date should be here soon”
“I hope so” she smiles weakly.
“And speaking about dates” Casey looks meaningfully at Sean “Where is yours? I thought that girl, Elizabeth was going with us”
“She was supposed to go with us” Sean starts explaining “But later she found out that she was not the first girl I invited…”
“She was not?” Michael asks surprised.
“No. I invited Amy earlier, but she couldn’t go. So I invited Elizabeth. But when she found out about Amy, she decided not to go”
“I’m sorry” Gabi turns to Sean.
“Hey, I’ll be fine” he smiles “Don’t worry about me. We are supposed to have some fun here, aren’t we?”
“Yes” everyone agrees.
“Then let’s have fun” Sean says enthusiastically.
“All right then, why don’t I tell you a story?” Mark offers.
“No!!!” Meg screams “We all know your stories…”
“And we both love it” Michael ends knowing that Meg was going to say the exact opposite.
“OK, so if Meg doesn’t want my story, then I’ll tell you what I found out a few days ago”
“And what DID you find out?” Casey asks curious.
“Well, I did some research on that house on the net…”
“Yeah right” Gabi laughs.
“Don’t interrupt me” Mark looks at her nearly icily and Gabi decides not to say anything more “So I did some research,” Mark continues “And I found out that in late fourties a group of young people came to that island to spend a New Year’s Eve and they were brutally murdered by some psycho who went on a killing spree”
“Mark, that is not funny” Meg sends him an icy look.
“I didn’t say it was funny. I would say it’s rather scary”
“Don’t even try, Mark” Gabi rebukes him.
“Try what?” he asks surprised.
“Scare us”
“I’m not trying to scare you, I’m just trying to warn you. Who knows, maybe this psycho comes to the island every fifty years and kills everybody”
“Very funny” Meg nudges Mark.
“Oh, it is not funny” he says in a serious tone “Not at all”
Chapter 3Mark stands up and looks seriously at his friends “If you want, I can tell you what exactly happened here fifty years ago”
“Sure, go ahead” Michael laughs.
“Don’t you dare!!” Meg screams “Or I’m going to my room. I don’t wanna hear any of your sick stories”
“These are not my sick stories” Mark defends himself “They are true”
“Yeah right” Gabi looks at him laughing.
“Fine, you don’t have to believe me” Mark snorts “But don’t say I didn’t warn you”
“Mark, please” Vanessa looks at him imploringly.
“All right, all right, I’m shutting up”
“But you know” Meg says after a while of silence “I must admit that this house really looks like all the old ones in horror movies”
“It sure does” Casey laughs.
“But thank God this is NOT a horror movie” Gabi smiles.
“Definitely” Meg adds and they both start laughing. At the same everyone hears a strong knock on the door. They all involuntary get scared.
“What was that?” Vanessa asks.
“This was just a knock on the door” Michael calms her down.
“I know, but who is there?”
“Easy, easy” Casey smiles and heads towards the door. He opens it and sees Amy and Tim.
“Hi Casey” Tim says.
“What are you guys doing here?”
“Tim? Amy?” Meg gets closer to the door “How did you…”
“It’s a long story” Amy smiles.
“Come in” Meg invites them “We’re just having a little talk waiting for Jade and Virginia to prepare dinner”
Tim and Amy go inside and are greeted by everyone else. When they finally sit comfortably, Mark asks curious:
“So, how did you manage to come here? And why?”
“Well, Amy was so angry that she couldn’t go” Tim starts explaining “And I wanted to go myself, so I borrowed a boat from Mr. Richards”
“Wow!” Meg raves “He let you?”
“Yeah, that was really nice of him” Tim smiles.
“It sure was” Amy adds and looks at Sean. He seems really happy that she is there.
“God, I’m starving” says Michael for a while.
“Yeah, me too” Casey agrees “I wonder why it’s taking so long to prepare one stupid dinner”
“One stupid dinner?” Meg sends Casey a rebuking look “Why don’t you try to prepare a dinner for so many people? I’m sure that once you do, you will never call it one stupid dinner”
“All right, all right” Casey gives up “But that doesn’t mean that I’m not hungry”
“We all are” Gabi says “But I’m sure that dinner will be ready soon”
“It would better be” Mark laughs.
“You know, I think I I’m gonna go for a little walk. I need some fresh air” Meg exclaims.
“I’ll go with you” Mark offers.
“No, no, I will be fine. Besides I could use some time alone”
“Are you sure?”
“I’m positive”
“OK. But remember that the dinner is going to be ready soon”
“Oh, and Meg can you please do something for me?” Gabi asks “I think I lost my sweater under the deck. Can you please see if it’s there?”
“Sure. I won’t be long” Meg smiles and leaves the house. She starts walking towards the boat thinking about Ben. She was hoping that he would get to the island really soon, but a few hours has passed and there is no sign of him.
“Where are you, Ben?” she asks, but the only answer the hears is the sough of the trees.

“You know, I’m starting to worry about Meg” Vanessa says with concern “It’s been over half an hour since she left”
“Maybe someone should go and look for her” Gabi suggests.
“I’ll go” Casey offers “I’ll see what’s up with her”
“OK, just hurry back you to cause we won’t start the dinner without you” Michael reminds.
“Don’t worry, we’ll be back in a minute” Casey says and leaves. He starts walking in the forest and when he reaches the boat, he hears a piercing scream.
“Meg…” he recognizes immediately and started running towards the boat “Meg!!!” he shouts when he gets inside “Meg, are you there?!”
“Oh my God!!!” she only screams, but at least now he knows that she is there. He runs under the deck and sees Meg in the stock room.
“Meg, what happened?” he asks and she looks at him frightened. She points the floor.
“Oh my God” Casey sighs when he sees a big red stain and realizes that it’s s fresh blood.
“Casey, what is this doing here?” she asks shaking.
” I don’t know…”
“Casey, this is blood, isn’t it?”
“Yes…”
”Oh my God. Is this human blood?”“I don’t know… Look, I’m sure that there is an explanation to this… Why don’t we go back home and try to find one?”
“OK. But what’s going on here?” Meg is more and more frightened.
“I’m sure it’s nothing” Casey tries to smile and wraps his arm around Meg “Come on”
They leave the boat and go back to the house. Everyone notices the condition Meg is in.
“Oh My God, Meg, what happened?” Vanessa asks worried.
“Blood… There was blood…” Meg tries to explain.
“Blood? What blood?” Gabi freezes “What is she talking about?”
Casey helps Meg to sit down and start talking.
“We saw a stain of blood in the stock room in the boat”
“Oh my God” Vanessa sighs “But why? I mean, was it a human blood?”
“We don’t know”
“Human?” Mark looks at Vanessa surprised “And what would it be doing on Grogan’s boat?”
“I don’t know”
“It was not a human blood” Michael suddenly interposes.
“How do you know?” Casey looks at him surprised, but Michael only smiles.
“Remember when I talked to Grogan just before we set off?”
“Yeah”
“Well, he told me that sometimes he goes fishing and eviscerates the fish in his boat…”
“That’s it” Casey sighs with relief “The fish”
“Yeah, what else would that be?” Michael laughs.
“Right, what else…” Meg smiles.
“You see Meg” Casey turns to her “I told you there was nothing to worry”
“Thank God” she sighs, but can’t get the terrible sight out of her mind.
Chapter 4
“The dinner was delicious” Michael raves and looks at his empty plate.
“Absolutely” Casey agrees “Jade and Virginia did a great job”
“Congratulations, Virginia” Meg turns to her.
“Thank you” Virginia smiles.
“And where is Jade?” asks Mark looking around.
“I think she went for a walk” Sean explains.
“A walk?” Casey asks surprised “A this time?”
“She just said that after spending so much time in the kitchen, she just needed some fresh air”
“I don’t blame her” Meg smiles.
“Me either” Gabi agrees “But they” she points the boys “Will never understand it”
“And how do you know?” Casey seems resentful.
“And have you ever spent more than half an hour in the kitchen?”
“No” he admits.
“You see” she looks at him meaningfully and they start laughing “But more seriously, when did Jade leave?”
“About fifteen minutes ago” Sean answers.
“So it’s not so bad yet”
“No” Michael adds “She should be back any minute”

“God, I can’t take it anymore…” Jade sighs “I don’t know a thing about cooking… Thank God Virginia was there to help me out” Jade smiles and continue walking. After some time she looks at her watch.
“Oh Gosh” she thinks “It’s this late… I should probably come back or they will start to worry too much” she turns around and starts walking towards the house. Suddenly she feels someone grabbing her hand. She screams, but unfortunately she is too far away and no one in house can hear her. When she turns around, she sees a man wearing black and with a mask on his face.
“Oh my God!!” she screams again and tries to pull away, but he is holding her arm to strong “Who are you?” she asks again, but the man doesn’t answer “Who are you?!” she screams, but there is no answer.
The man pulls out a knife.
“Oh my God, no!” this time Jade starts crying “Who are you? Please don’t hurt me” the tears start rolling on her cheeks “What do you want from me? Who are you?” she asks again, but the man doesn’t say anything. He lifts up the knife.
“Please don’t…” Jade doesn’t even manage to finish…

“Meg” Vanessa approaches her “Do you mind if Michael and I leave you guys for a moment?”
“Leave us? Why?”
“Well, we wanted to spend a few minutes… you know…”
“Sure” Meg smiles “Just the two of you…”
“Exactly… So are you OK with that? We’ll be back before midnight”
“Of course. I have the whole gang here with me”
Vanessa notices the sad expression on Meg’s face.
“The whole gang except for Ben... You miss him, don’t you?” she looks inquiringly at Meg.
“Is it that obvious?”
“Unfortunately” Vanessa sighs.
“It’s been a few hours…”
“Meg, you know that the meetings Ben attends don’t last five minutes”
“Oh I know, I know, but I just wish he was with me right now”
He will be, very soon”
“I don’t know… I have this bad feeling”
“What feeling? What are you talking about?”
“I don’t know, I can’t describe it… I just feel that something bad is going to happen tonight”
“Meg, don’t even think like that. We are here to have the best New Year’s Eve of our lives”
“I can’t have the best New Year’s Eve of my life without Ben”
“I know. But I’m sure Ben will be here any minute… Meg, he can’t stand a second without you”
Meg smiles.
“You should probably be going. Don’t keep Michael waiting”
“All right, thanks” Vanessa hugs Meg “We will be back soon”
“Where are Michael and Vanessa off to?” Casey asks Meg when Vanessa leaves.
“Oh, they have a special evening planned”
“A special evening, huh?” Casey smiles.
“Yeah, but they promised to be back before midnight”
“They’d better be” Mark interposes and they start to laugh.
“Why don’t we play some music” Gabi suggests “I mean, it’s New Year’s Eve, we should be having fun, now shouldn’t we?”
“Gabi is right” Meg agrees “We are here to have some fun”
“Ladies, your wish is my command” Mark says proudly and walks to the radio. Soon the music starts playing and everyone starts having a great time.
“OK, here is something for all of you ladies” Mark says after some time and plays “Stop, in the name of love” by Diana Ross and the Supremes.
“Oh, I love that song” Gabi raves.
“And who doesn’t?” Meg asks smiling and soon the girls forget about the whole world. Meg for a moment manages to forget about Ben… But fun doesn’t last long…. They are interrupted by a scream.
“Oh my God, that’s Vanessa” Meg gets scared.
“I guess” Casey agrees.
“Why don’t we check what’s wrong?” Mark suggests and he storms out of the house. Everyone follows him. Soon they reach the place where Michael is trying to calm Vanessa down, but she keeps screaming and crying.
“It’s OK, it’s OK” he strokes her hair and hold her close.
“Oh God, no!!!!” she screams “This can’t be… Michael, no!!!”
“What’s going on here?” Sean asks curious, but neither of them needs any answer when they notice Jade…
Chapter 5
“Oh my God” Meg looses control over her body and supports herself on Casey’s arm.
“Don’t look” he tries to make her turn around.
“Casey, what…” she starts to cry.
“Ssshhh” he strokes her hair and tries to calm her down. Slowly she stops sobbing and one more time looks at Jade. She becomes pale.
“Michael, is she…” Casey looks meaningfully at Michael.
“I’m afraid so”
“Oh God” this time Gabi starts to cry and Mark holds her in his arms. He can’t believe what he is seeing.
“Who did this?” Meg starts crying again.
“I don’t know” Michael answers “We found her here”
“God, no…” Meg sighs “No…”
“Hey Mark, Sean, Tim, take them back to the house” he points the girls “We’ll check… We’ll check the body…”
“OK” Tim agrees and the three of them go back home with Meg, Gabi, Vanessa, Virginia and Amy.
“God, I can’t believe that this is happening…” Meg starts crying louder and louder and Tim tries to hold her, but she pulls away. She walks to the coach and sits down, hiding her face in her hands.
“Why would someone…” Amy starts but she is not able to finish the sentence.
“Who…” Gabi bursts into tears again and Mark takes her in his arms.
Vanessa sits on the coach next to Meg. Mark looks at her concerned.
“Vanessa, are you OK?” he asks.
“No, I’m not OK… How can I be OK? I just found a body… God, this can’t be happening…”

Casey walks closer to Jade. Her chest is full of blood and it’s obvious that someone has stabbed her.
“Gosh, that doesn’t look good” Casey sighs.
“I don’t understand… God, what’s going on here?”
“Have you looked around here?”
“No, I haven’t”
“Maybe we should look around. We might find something”
“Maybe…” Michael stands up and they start walking around Jade’s body. Unfortunately they don’t find anything what would help them figure out who the killer is.
“I think we should go back” Casey says after a while.
“What are we going to do with her?”
“I think we need to leave her here… I mean, for the police… God, we need to call the police…”
“But how? Grogan said there was no way to contact Sunset Beach from here”
“Still I think we should try”
“Sure” Michael agrees and they go back to the house.
“Did you find anything?” Mark asks first.
“No” Casey answers “But we came back to check if we will be able to contact SBPD”
“But Grogan said…” Meg starts, but Casey cuts her short.
“I know, but maybe…” he says and looks for his cell phone. He tries to dial the number, but there is no signal. He tries three more phones but there is no signal either “Damn it!” he shouts.
“Grogan was right?” Sean asks.
“I’m afraid so”
“So what are we gonna do now?” Gabi asks through tears.
“We can’t do anything” Michael says sadly “The only thing we have left is waiting”
“For what?” Meg cries “Until he kills someone else?”
“Meg, we don’t even know who he was” Michael starts “Maybe it was about Jade only and…” Michael doesn’t finish cause at the same moment the light suddenly gets switched off and all the girls start screaming. Meg involuntary grabs Casey’s hand.
“What was that?” she asks.
“I don’t know…”
“It was him” Gabi screams frightened “I know it!! He is going to kill us all!!!”
“Just calm down” Mark wraps his arms around her and after a second lets go “I have a few candles in my room, I will go and get them”
“I’m going with you” Gabi takes his hand.
“All right” he says and they start climbing the stairs. When they are upstairs they see a man trying to escape from one of the rooms. Gabi starts screaming and Mark starts running after him. The man speeds up.
“Mark no!!!!!” Gabi shouts through tears, but he doesn’t listen to her and runs after the man. Gabi starts running after them, but soon they are out of her sight. Soon the rest of the gang who heard Gabi’s scream go upstairs just to find Gabi’s in tears.
“Gabi, what happened?” Meg asks frightened.
“He was here…” Gabi cries “The murderer… Mark ran after him…”
“Oh God” Michael sighs and looks frightened at his friends. Meg slowly leans against the wall and speaks quiet “God, no…”

“You damned bastard, you’re not gonna get away with that!!!” Mark screams and continue running after the man. They both start speeding up. Suddenly the man, feeling that there is no point in running, turns around. Mark realizes that the man has a mask and notices that he is holding a big hook.
“You coward!” Mark shouts “You are so damned afraid that you don’t even show your face”
The man doesn’t answer and starts walking towards Mark holding the hook. Suddenly he runs at him, but Mark manages to stop the stroke. They fell on the ground and start fighting. The man tries to stab Mark but he ducks a few times. The man gets really angry.
“You bastard!” Mark shouts and uses all his strength to push the attacker away, but he is very strong. For a moment Mark wants to escape, but then he feels that he has to know the identity of the murderer. He runs at him and with all the strength he gathered he manages to take of the murderer’s mask. He freezes when he sees Ben’s face.
“You really should have minded your own business” ‘Ben’ smiles ominously.

“God, Ben, where are you?” Meg sighs as she looks at her engagement ring “I need you” Meg stands up and without even realizing it, she finds herself outside. Tim notices that she is gone and runs after her.
“Meg, what the hell do you think you’re doing?” he asks.
“I need to find Mark”
“Alone?”
“I don’t care. I need to find him” she says firmly and she sighs with relief when she turns around and sees Mark coming closer to them.
“Thank God” She smiles “Mark, where is the murderer?”
Mark doesn’t answer and Meg notices the strange expression on Mark’s face.
“Mark, what’s wrong?”
He doesn’t say a word, he just collapses on the ground letting Meg and Tim see that he has a hook stabbed in his back. Meg starts screaming as loud as she only can and Tim looks frightened at Mark. After a second, the rest of the gang comes to see what’s going on and they freeze when they see Mark lying on the ground with the hook in his back. Gabi starts screaming. Even Casey and Michael feel like there are going to scream any minute.
“No!!!” Gabi cries “Mark, no!!!”
Meg and Tim, who are the closest to Mark, kneel next to him. They both know that Mark is dying. Tim notices that Mark is trying to say something and he listens carefully and after a while he hears the words:
“It was Ben…”
Meg hears the words as well. She freezes.
