Little Bird

She was 8 weeks old, she almost died, wouldn't eat after mother stopped feeding her. I tried everything but found a recipe using raw liver, vegetable juice and 1 egg yolk with spirulina and purified water. I got her to drink some and then tried raw steak pieces and so far she had done well. If she got stronger I would add more to her diet, hopefully she would eat different things eventually. Little Bird got so she couldn't walk, and she was in pain. The vet took radiograms and her spine was very crooked and see through, she had no bone mass. She barely had a pelvis at all. Vet said it was a birth defect, nothing could be fixed, her lungs were weak also. I had to send her to Kittie Heaven Nov 11 2001. She wanted to live, fought as hard as she could. We will miss her very much! We called her Birdie Eyes,she was so curious to see everything, big wide eyes. We would lay her on a blanket outside and she would look at the birds and try so hard to move her legs, she fought so hard but the pain eventually got to her , she was a brave little girl but couldn't win the battle. Her courage made our little problems seem like nothing. Goodbye Little Bird Eyes may you fly in heaven as free as a bird!
