The Beta's are second in command. They are usually good friends of the Alphas. They are responsible for taking over when the Alpha's are injured, or gone. And they assist the pack in hunts. They sometimes watch the pups,..but usually thats the Omega's job. If both alphas were to die, the strongest beta would then run the pack.
