Being John Malkovich (1999)

Genre: Comedy/ Fantasy

Not to give too much away, the movie is about a struggling street puppeteer turned filing clerk, Craig Schwartz (John Cusack), who finds a portal. This leads him into John Malkovitch (played by himself), and allows him to experience all that he does. He is being John Malkovitch. Unfortunately, this 'head trip' lasts only fifteen minutes, before being dumped on the New Jersey turnpike. Craig and his beautiful but power-hungry co-worker Maxine (Catherine Keener) find a way of exploiting the portal. $200 a trip! Soon, a whole manner of people are queuing for the 'ride' including Craig's pet obsessed wife (Cameron Diaz)!

Well that's the basic outline of the story but the combination of love-triangles, pirates, and a monkey with a troubled past will have your head reeling! And although the fact that you can enter someone's body seems weird, to say the least, you will end up believing it possible. Take my word for it; this is definitely a film to watch!
