WIRING A 4-WIRE DREAMCAST MOD CHIP

WIRING THE CHIP:

If your DreamChip is pre-wired click HERE to bypass the chip wiring section.

Step 1
Locate the 5 pre-cut, pre-stripped, pre-tinned, color coded wires from your package.
Red, black, green, yellow and violet. If you received 6 wires  (red, black, green, yellow, orange and blue) then you received a 6 wire modchip. If you recieved 5 wires then you recieved the 4 wire modchip. The 5th wire is used as a bridge only.

4 included color wires

Step 2
Connect the 5 color coded wires to the bottom of the DreamChip using the included solder. Attach 2 wires to the bottom corners of the chip and 2 power wires in the middle. Then use the Violet wire to bridge the two points on the chip. See below for wiring diagrams. You might find it easier to wire the chip up from the backside as the pins loop around the back. Be careful not to bridge any of the pins when soldering.
