Lionas Beach in northeastern Naxos is situated in front of the almost deserted village with the same name. It used to be a port from which marble was exported. Now it is a fishing village with a couple of tavernas. Lionas Beach is a pebble beach with white pebbles. There are no beach beds and umbrellas for hire. You can reach Lionas Beach via the route that goes through the village Koronas or from the north from the village of Apollonas. The road to Lionas Beach is paved, but it is not very wide and it has lots of curves. It goes through pretty nature and on the way you can also see some old mines. The distance from Naxos Town is about 40 kilometers. The beach itself is not great but the village itself is very charming and its inhabitants are very friendly.
