WE FLY ALL YEAR ROUND. Your flight will take place at sunrise, when the winds are the most favorable. You are welcome to join in on the inflation or if you prefer to just watch and take photos. After lift-off you are more than welcome to ask your pilot questions. He loves his job and is very knowledgable about the area of flight. There is alot of history here. Your pilot has many hours of flying under his belt and is a FAA certified commercial balloon pilot and instructor.
You will be flying between the Rio Grande River and the foothills of the mountains. Your flight may range anywhere from skimming the brush looking for wildlife to soaring to heights of 2,000 ft or more. Your flight will last about one hour.
You will be surprised at how warm it is in the balloon year round. Since the balloon is moving with the wind, you will not feel any breeze on your body. If we were to light a candle, the flame would not even flicker.
Your flight will conclude with a continental breakfast, a free balloon souvenir and photographs of your balloon flight.

RESERVATIONS:
When making your reservation. We accept all major credit cards. To make a reservation for your ballooning experience, you need to guarantee it with a major credit card.
After your flight you may pay by cash-($20.00 off per person), travelers checks, debet card or credit card.
THUNDERSTORMS:
Here in the southwest thunderstorms are usually forecast for the following day. However these thunderstorms will build in the late afternoon and will have no effect on your balloon flight in the morning.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
If it is necessary for you to cancel your flight, you must do so at least 24 hours in advance. If you cancel your flight less than 24 hours in advance, there will
be a $25.00 per person fee charged for late cancellation.

BALLOON RIDES:
We realize that getting your balloon ride in on the day that your want to fly is as important to you as it is to us. Upper wind currents typically travel from west to east,(the wind currents that we will be flying in). This is an important fact to consider when launching a hot air balloon because balloons move with the wind, and there is no way to physically steer a balloon. Most balloon companies launch their balloons west of the city and will then get blown toward the downtown area of the city. This fact limits their capability of doing their balloon flights to winds of less than 10 mph. because landing a balloon in downtown Albuquerque with all of the buildings and powerlines with winds more than 10 mph is quite challenging. We launch our balloon next to the Rio Grande River and fly east toward the mountains. By doing this (landing in the foothills of the mountains), makes your landing much easier because there are less obstacles to deal with.
