The Good News: If we get off of our high red horse (for a moment) and accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior. And asking Him to come into our hearts...this is enough to allow us to squeeze through the 'pearly gates', as is! That's right, as is: still drinking, smoking (cig or pot), gambling, cursing, womanizing, etc. We don't even have to go to church or be baptized! We can continue being ourselves and still squeeze into heaven. Just think! We can get into heaven with liquor on our breath and a pork chop sandwich in our hand, thanks to Jesus! Eddie's absolutely right. You don't do your laundry before you take it to the Base Laundromat & it's the same with our lives. There is nothing we can do to clean ourselves up and make ourselves more presentable to God. The Lord says, even the things we are proud of are nothing but filthy rags in comparison to His Glory.
He has provided salvation for us, free, & it didn't come cheap: Jesus paid for it with his life! He died so that you could live forever!
