Reeder Road

The Story: A girl named Elizabeth Wilson drowned in a swamp after the car she was riding in went off the road into a swamp. People say that if you drive down the road at night you can see Elizabeth waiting on the side of the road waiting for a ride back to her house down the road. People who claimed to give her a ride back to her house get as far as Ross cemetery before she disappears. The same cemetery that she was buried in 1955.

Location: Reder Road in Griffith, Indiana

Directions: Take I-94 and get off on Cline Avenue South (exit #5).  Take Cline Avenue for almost a mile and a half.  Turn left onto US-6 also known as Ridge Road.  Go a mile down Ridge road and turn right onto Colfax Street.  Go just over two and a half miles and then turn left onto Reder Road.  Follow Reder Road for about half a mile and you will come to a gate.  That's were Reder Road used to follow, but know it's just a dead end.

We visited Reeder Road on October 2, 2003.  It was about 40 degrees outside and with no wind.  We parked next to the gate and followed what used to be the old road for almost five minutes.  It didn't seem to be to haunted at all.  All that we saw was nothing but  trees on both sides of us.  It seemed more like a night-time walk in the park.  We took some pictures, but were unsure what to take pictures of.  We took some of the trees, but weren't really getting anything.  We looked for Elizabeth, but didn't see her.  So we decided to turn around since and walk back to the car.  We were able to get a couple of orbs in our first picture, but nothing that great.
