Deadly Love

This is the First story in the "Deadly" Series. Our fiesty heroine is Francesca Cahill, who is ahead of her time. She's rich, beautiful, and smart. She's no ordinary heroine either, this girl loves to make her own way. She gets involved in solving a crime, gets into a few dangerous situations and begins to fall in love with our hero, Rick Bragg, the Police Commisioner. Rick is the illigitimate son of another one of our favorite men...Rathe Bragg. There are also some great secondary characters and you don't want to miss out on their stories!!

When I first read this book, I was a little unsure, this isn't your ordinary Brenda Joyce novel. It's not, it's a little snappier, and of course a little bit of a mystery novel also. I'm glad however that I didn't give up on Brenda, because the Deadly series just keeps getting better.

Deadly Pleasure

The second novel in the series. This one shows alot of evolution of the characters. we learn Rick is not free to love Fran, because he's married. New character/hero introduced is Calder Hart, Rick's half-brother. Calder is a bit of a "bad boy" but very captivating. He becomes involved when his natural father is found murdered. We have our spunky Francesca and her "partner" the adorable Joel Kennedy to thank for clearing his name and solving the murder. Francesca seems to develop mixed feeling for Calder. She displays, jealousy, and a certain reluctant fascination for him. It's the beginning of the love triangle between Francesca-Rick-Calder. Secondary characters round out the book with their own stories. Little "hints" are dropped about some of them, making me hope Brenda will tell us a little more about them.

Deadly Affairs

The heat is on! The love triangle just gets hotter! In the beginning I wasn't too fond of Francesca, but you can tell she's quickly maturing. In this story, there seems to be a killer on the loose. Fran and her assistant Joel help Police Commissioner Rick Bragg solve the crime. Calder and fran grow closer. Fran is torn between her love for Rick and her mixed feelings for his half-brother Calder. An old flame of Calder's is introduced..Bartolla. This lady seems up to no good, but we can't be sure yet. Book ends with a note from Rick's wife Leigh Anne to Fran saying she'd like to meet her. We can thank Bartolla for letting Leigh Anne know her husband Rick was showing interest in Fran. Her intentions aren't clear, because Leigh Anne is a friend, or because she wants to stir up trouble.

Deadly Desire

They just keep getting better and more intriging! Ok, I'm in a hurry so I'll make this one quick. leigh Anne arrives! The Bragg's are in town and Lucy gets in a bit of trouble. Calder states his intentions to marry Fran. Rick is torn between his wife Leigh Anne, whom he claims to hate and Fran. The rivalry between the 2 brothers continues. Secondary characters not as prominent in this one. WAAAAAA!!!
