Hi! First I'd like to say that I've been very busy and sick this week; on so much medication that I've been like a zombie. Having said that, I hope you will all forgive me because I accidentally deleted alot of my emails, so if I haven't gotten back to you this is probably why. In Brenda news (don't quote me on this..remember I deleted my emails!) But I think she has finished "Double Take" or at least she was revising it last week. As many of you know, I've added a few new pages (thank you all for the help!). So please go check them out...Let's see there is a page called "The Mens Lounge, I just need to add all available men, "The Chapel" with the couples listed. "The Book Schedule" and "The Chatroom". I guess if you're here, you've also seen I've (yet again) changed the front page...Hope you like it! I've also been experimenting on my Paint Shop Pro and have made many "calling cards" or banners, whatever you'd like to call them. Feel free to take them and use when you post on other boards, in email whatever you'd like! Maybe we can recruit more Brendaholics with them! Next, I'm going to try the "animations" program in Paint Shop Pro, so hopefully I'll have a few free animations for you too. Wish me luck, Paint Shop Pro intimidates me..there are like a zillion tools and I don't know how to undo or control alot of it yet. I'm slowly learning. Anyway, another Thanks to: Margaret for the Book Schedule help, Helen for the list of couples, Ursula for doing dolls, Lisa for cracking the whip and inspiring everyone to help, and all those who have volunteered as hostesses or are going to are have sent me reviews. You're help is very much appreciated. June 6, 2002The Latest...The title of Becoming Lana has changed to Double Take. Not bad huh? Remember it..buy it. Maybe we can all get on a book schedule or something and discuss the novels. I am going to add 3 biographies soon, hopefully by Sunday. I'll be gone this weekend, my husband insists on going camping, so while I sleep under the stars, freezing...think of me and be glad you're all warm and cozy tucked in your beds. Also, there seems to be confusion on the Denver/Tahoe trip. I hope to meet you all and if I do, I promise not to puke on your shoes if you make sure I get back to wherever in one peice, if I've had too much to drink. Mary has graduated May 31st! I wish her luck in whatever she may be doing next. Many of the ladies have claimed husbands, and wow Lisa, hehe...I can't wait until Brown finds out you took Calder! I have Edward DeLanza, so ladies take your eyes off my man, that boy isn't going anywhere without me! Shoz Savage has been claimed as a "Community Husband" since we all want him too, Margaret and I have a nice arrangement..she gets him during the week and I get him on the weekends! How she got him the whole week, while I only get weekends..I don't know, but I guess it's ok, because he eats alot and I hate to cook. So you may call me Mrs. DeLanza-Savage if you'd like. I finished The Darkest Heart a few days ago, and that book is awesome! I'm so glad I got it, Thanks again Wendy! Now my Brenda collection is almost complete, just need Lovers and Liars..hint hint :) That's about it, oh! "Lxxx" is on a diet (why I don't know, but if she's skinnier than me, I'm gonna be mad). "Mxxxxxxx" is working hard and is on page 6 of the book she is writing, "Sxxx" has a curse (not just the female kind) upon her and "Jxxxxx" is learning about penises (good luck there!) Also a CERTAIN someone has confirmed that "Like A Virgin" creme does not work..she will be using more next time and will let us know, please hurry..I'd like to buy some!

In the beginning the was a pretty southern belle--- well drop dead gorgeous and sweet as hell was more like it. One warm and lovely day she walked into a book store and as fate would have it found a copy of "The Darkest Heart" and a new best friend as well. Not a bad bargain if you ask me! Hehe...anyhoo...Wendy from the JDBB has found a copy of "Darkest Heart" for me! I'm so excited! Do you know how long I've looked for this book? Everyone should go to the JDBB and post Wendy and tell her how sweet she is! Wendy You Are Wunderful!!!!!! I hope you win the lottery!
- May 22, 2002 Brenda's back! guess what, I didn't dream it, she was doing something with horses, I know that didn't sound right, but I have no idea, I'm no equestrian! Anyway, poor lady probably had to get a cushion or something to sit on because there were about 80 million posts for her to catch up on. She's also given me permission to use the confessions list on this site (Thanks Brenda, now I won't have to go to prison).
Brenda gave us a quick summary on her next book to be released The Chase. Here's what she had to say about it on the BB: "The story is basically this--on the night of her husband's fortieth birthday, a stranger appears in Claire's life. His name is Ian Marshall, and Claire catches odd vibes between him and her husband--and later that night, she finds her husband dead, his throat slit with a weapon used by espionage agents in WWII.
Before Claire knows it, she is unwillingly teamed up with Ian Marshall, a Nazi hunter, and on the trail of someone who may or may not be a copy cat...the trail turns warm and then hot, and just as Claire realizes the killer is someone close to her--or after her--she also realizes that Ian has his own private and personal agenda and nothing is the way that it seemed... Claire and Ian are great!". Hehe..looks like I'm going to have to hide another hard copy from my husband. She said the paperback will be released sometime next summer about a month after her Becoming Lana book is released. Which by the way, will no longer be called Becoming Lana since her editor doesn't like it. I don't know about you all, but the title of a book isn't what usually catches my attention. I mean Brenda could name a book "poo" and I'd still buy it. I depend more on the rep. of the author and recommendations from other readers. So to her editor... Leave Brenda alone! The title sounds good to me!! In my own news, i went to the zoo today with my sons first grade class. Lotsa fun riding the bumpety bump bus. Not much else, except first graders sure cry easliy don't they? We had a few wailers there today, because some of the animals wouldn't come out. Thanks to all the ladies who have emailed me with their info..I'll be posting your bio's soon. Also, to the girls who already have their bios's posted....if my sense of humor fails to amuse you, please let me know and I'll change your bio no problem. Also, some of the links to the "Braggs aren't right, I know this, but haven't fixed it yet, because I'd need to finish writing some reviews. Didn't think it was fair to write them when I need to re-read them, so I know what I'm talking about!
- May 20, 2002
I've been working on the site, trying to streamline it and stuff, so it will load quick. Here's the latest news....I'll be making a new page dedicated to all you wonderful ladies. I'd like you to email me with a quick summary about yourselves. Likes, dislikes etc. Whatever you want. I have to warn you though...If I don't get an email from you, I'll make up my own summaries about you! HA, so there!!! Hehe...I've already made up a few..read them here.... Also, I bought some Stackers 3, I've only heard of 2, but I figured this was a step up..I think? Anyway, my point is, they actually work!!! At least I think so. My scale is broke, but my shorts are loose! Always a good sign right? That's about it. Oh and you asked for it..my son will be submitting the first book review. I am not speed reader people! Get some reviews in of what you're reading, that way next time I go to buy a book, I'll know what to look for. Also, does anyone remember Brenda saying she would be gone a few days with her horses? Or did I just dream that? I think that's where she is. Last, but not least ****MISSING PERSON ALERT**** Where is Ms. Happy? Working? Call in sick lady, I need a Happy fix!!
- Ok, it's probably been there a few days, but I'm slow..so...Guess What!! Brenda is working on a new Book!!! Yippeee!!! Ok, people, stop doing cartwheels and I'll tell you what she wrote about it. or you can just check her page. She says it's a romantic suspense, involving twin sisters who trade places. They have lots of adventures and of course meet a sexy hero...can't wait to read more! I think she says she may name it Becoming Lana
Also, The Chase will be released in Hard Cover this coming July. You can order one now!
Ok, I'm not sure when the next Deadly book will be out, I think Brenda said she planned on writing one this summer..so who knows how long it'll be before it's actually released!
That's all I can think of..Oh! Wait! I just found out like a week ago, that Brenda used a psuedonym and wrote Westerns when she was a teenager. Hehe..the things you can learn when you actually read that little part in the back of the book about the author!! Before I forget, I'd also like to give a great big thumbs up to all of Brenda's previous hairstyles and clothes throughout her professional career. After I saw the Zane Grey thing, I looked at all the backs to see if I missed anything else. I don't know about the rest of you, but I when I see pictures of myself from say..ten years ago, I'd like to cringe..the big hair..the clothes..ewww! How could I have possibly been so cool looking like that? I digress..Brenda, the clothes and hair were timeless and you looked very nice. Not to be mean, but how could I talk my friends into reading romance if the author looked like Tammy Faye Baker? Or pictures with your doggies, why do some women do that? Hmmm.......
Ok, I don't read Westerns, but I thought that was pretty cool anyway. I asked my husband and he said he'd heard of the name and yes he'd read "HIM" before...she went by the name Zane Grey. Even spiffier is the fact that Zane is my son's middle name. Anyway, I told my husband, "HE" was Brenda Joyce...hahaha..well I thought it was funny, he didn't he just kinda grunted and rolled over and went to sleep.. I hate when he does that!!
No wonder I read romance!
