It is very important that you rotate the tires on your vehicle regularly. Rotating tires helps acheive more uniform wear for all the tires. You should rotate your tires every 6,000 miles, and follow the patterns in the images below, unless stated otherwise in your owners' manual.

Be sure not to use your temporary spare in the rotation cycle. Use this only in case of an emergency. But make sure you do always check the air in the spare.

Always make sure your owners' manual doesn't specify a certain way for you to rotate your tires. Some types of tires can't be rotated in these patterns. Some vehicles may have different sizes for the front and real wheels, and rotating these can be dangerous.
