Look for the one that was not built or founded by some man or woman. The New Testament Church was built and founded by Jesus Christ (Matthew 16:18; I Corinthians 3:11). Look for the one that has no earthly headquarters, rather Christ was its head and His word served as the authority (Ephesians 5:23; II Timothy 4:2-4). Look for the one that doesn't wear a human name. The New Testament Church wore names that attributed ownership to the Lord, and not to some man, method, or doctrine. Look for the one that worships God according to His divine standard and not according to what pleases man (John 4:24; Colossians 3:17). Look for the one that doesn't employ all sorts of gimmicks and giveaways to entice people to come, but believes in the Gospel as the power of God into salvation (Romans 1:16). Look for the one that doesn't have a creed book, church manual, etc., but believes in the Bible as the sole authority (II Timothy 3:16, 17). Look for the one that practices the Lord's Supper upon the first day of the week (Acts 20:7).
Look for the one that preaches God's Word and not man-made doctrines (II Timothy 4:2). Look for the one that teaches the essentiality of baptism (Acts 2:38; Galatians 3:27; I Peter 3:21). Look for the one that teaches that even after one becomes a Christian, they must continue to serve God faithfully (Revelation 2:10) lest they should fall from grace (I Corinthians 10:12; Revelation 3:5). Look for the one that has as its main goals to reach heaven and win as many souls as possible (Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 16:15).
If you are truly searching for the Church the Lord built (the one that wears the name of Christ, the one that truly believes in the Bible as the inspired, infallible, inerrant Word of God, the one that truly does its very best to go exactly by God's divine standard, the one that is concerned about the welfare and souls of others, etc.); then, please accept our invitation to come and visit with us.
