This page tells all about me and the things that are important to me.

Abby

Abby is my girlfriend. We have been going out for over two years. It doesn't seem like that long to me. She is a great, caring, loving person. She is in band, too and plays the French Horn. I thought I would have a pic of her on my site soon, but she isn't very happy with any of the pictures I've taken. I love her with all of my heart, and she's my best friend.

Religion

I attend the Smithville Church of Christ. We have a congregation of about 300 people. I've been on a couple of mission trips to Mexico (Juarez and Monterrey) in the the last few years, and I'm going again this summer. We have an active youth group, and do various activities together such as: scavenger hunts, all-night laser tag marathons, devotionals, hikes, game nights, and full-contact tackle football. We recently renovated our building and expanded it to fit more people. If you have any questions about our church or our beliefs, email me here: superbone99@hotmail.com

Music

I listen to all sorts of music. All except for country and rap. I don't hate it, I just don't like it. I really like Ska. I listen to bands like: Reel Big Fish, The Aquabats, Less Than Jake, Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Save Ferris, Incubus, Cake, Goldfinger, Five Iron Frenzy, Green Day, Blink 182, Eve6, Sublime, The Presidents of the United States of America, and Beastie Boys. I also like Dallas Brass, Maynard Ferguson, Christian Lindbergh, Doug Yeo, and Joseph Alessi. I also listened to No Doubt and Smash Mouth before they sold out, went to pop, and turned to crap.

Right now I'm in a Ska Band, and we're starting to bring things together. We had a minor setback when we got a new guitarist, but we're putting together a lot of covers so we can do another show as soon as possible.

Our setup includes:
Barry "Big Head" Cantrell - drums
Tommy Sacran - guitar
Adam Loring  - bass
Steve Anderson - part-time trumpet
Joseph Greek - trumpet
Craig Watson (me) - trombone/vocals
??? - lead vocals

Band

I just graduated from DCHS.  I played trombone in the DeKalb County High School Band in Smithville Tennessee. I was in band there for eight years and I marched for six.  I was involved in the Marching Band, Concert Band, and Football and Basketball Pep Bands.  In the past six years, I have participated in fourteen regional and multi-state honor bands. These include:

  1. 1997 Junior High Midstate: Middle School Band, 3rd Chair
  2. 1998 Junior High Midstate: 1st Band, 4th Chair
  3. 1998 TTU Festival of Winds and Percussion: 2nd band, 9th Chair
  4. 1999 Junior High Midstate: 1st Band, 3rd Chair
  5. 2000 Senior High Midstate: 1st Band, 9th Chair
  6. 2000 TTU Festival of Winds and Percussion: 1st Band, 9th Chair
  7. 2000 MTSU Windband Conference: Mikalski Ensemble, 6th Chair
  8. 2001 Senior High Midstate: 1st Band, 3rd Chair (This also qualified me for All-state band)
  9. 2001 TTU Festival of Winds and Percussion: 1st Band, 2nd Chair
  10. 2001 MTSU Wind Band Conference: 1st Band, 1st Chair
  11. 2001 Tennessee Allstate Band: 2nd Chair
  12. 2002 Senior High Midstate: SCREWED!!!
  13. 2002 TTU Festival of Winds and Percussion: 1st Band, 1st Chair
  14. 2002 MTSU Wind Band Conference: 1st Band, 1st Chair

I also participated in the Tennessee Solo and Ensemble Festival for five years, resulting in 7 Superior ratings. I attended the 2001 Tennesse Governor's School for the Arts and 2001 Boys State (played in the band).  I played a Holton TR159 trombone. It has a 9" bell and a .547-.552 duo-bore.  If there are any trombone players out there, I recommend "Slide-O-Mix". It is the best slide treatment in the business. I'm currently a music major at Tennessee Technological University. It has the best music program in Tennessee and one of the best in the southeast. I am now officially a bass trombone player. I just bought an Edwards custom Independent Double Bass. Check it out at the Edwards website.

NASCAR

I am a NASCAR fan. My favorite driver is Jeff Burton. I currently own over 150 NASCAR diecasts. Over 75 of them are Jeff Burton diecasts. I've been a NASCAR fan off and on all my life, but a major fan for a long time. I have followed Jeff Burton since he raced for the Stavola Brothers in 1994. He raced the #8 Raybestos Brakes Fords for them from 1994-1995. He has raced for Jack Roush in the Roush Racing stable from 1996-the present. Citgo recently replaced Exide as the primary sponser for the #99 car.  I've always been a big fan of all the Roush and Yates teams and I've taken a recent interest in Gregg Biffle

Football

My favorite NFL team is the Tennessee Titans. Nuff said.

Video Games

I used to be pretty big into racing games, strategy games, RPG's, etc. I played Monster Truck Madness, Monster Truck Madness 2, Nascar 99, Nascar 3, Nascar 4, Nascar 2002, Close Combat: A Bridge too Far, and NFS often. I also like sports games like Madden '98,'99,'00, and NFL Blitz 2000.  However, I play A LOT of madden 2003 now that I've got a gamecube. Still waiting for Mariokart to come out for GC, though.
