Welcome to my Stamp Page! I hope you enjoy your visit.

I have some links for you philatelists. I have been collecting stamps since grade school: stamps from all over the world, and first day covers. I enjoy it very much, although with two children and a home to care for time is at a premium.

Stamp collecting is a great hobby I hope to introduce to both my children. By the time they were 3 my children already had a stamp album of thier own and used tongs to touch and pick up their stamps.

I think stamp collecting is a great way to learn about the countries of the world (and it keeps me out of trouble!)

Important Rules For Beginning Stamp Collectors

• NEVER lick the stamps in your collection. Use special stamp albums with pockets for your stamps or use stamp hinges to hold your stamps on the pages of your albums.
• Use stamp tongs (available at hobby and collectable shops) to pick up your stamps as oils from your hands will damage them over time.
• Buy a good, basic book on stamp collecting - your local book store would be a good place to look.
• Ask your family to save their mail for you - you can soak the stamps off (for the stick-on kind use hot water) and add these to your collection.
• If you have penpals from other countries you should tell them of your hobby. They may send you stamps from their country.
• Most communities have a stamp club. Check to see if yours has one - the Yellow Pages might have a listing.
