Suaasat ~ Greenland Inuit wild game soup with a Danish twist
Lest we forget, there are Inuit in Greenland and Siberia as well.

1 kg (2 lb.) meat (seal, whale, Reindeer or lamb)
1 onion
2 carrots
frozen or dried pot herbs
(leafy herb used for seasoning)
2 Liters (8 C.) cold water
2/3 C. pudding rice or whole or broken barley groats
salt

Add cold water, meat, vegetables and pot herbs to pot and boil
heavily until meat is nearly tender. Add rice or barley groats and boil
again. Add salt to taste.

"Takanna mamassaqaat" (Here it is, it tastes good)
