Daddy

You raised me from a baby
Now it's my turn to take care of you
No matter how much I deny it
I realize your time is nearly through

I have treasured our many memories
Even the times you cursed at your tools
The time we killed that bee hive with carb cleaner
Looking like we were fools!

I was always Daddy's little girl
Even now, at 18 years old
I remember all your teachings daddy,
you made me true, honest and bold

I could come to you with anything
In my eyes you could do no wrong
And oh, your stories from when you were young
So healthy, so active, so strong

But you breaths are getting shorter now
You can't do much of anything anymore
I have helped as much as I could
I just wish I could do more

But anything I do could never compare
For all that you have done for me
But nothing lasts forever
and thats how long it took me to see

I have taken time for granted
thinking nothing could ever get you down
You were the Invinsible Daddy
A superman in a small town
