Well the weekend was a fest of activity. No beer on Friday evening so that we were able to be "up and at ‘em" first thing on Saturday morning. Straight into Trailfinders where we booked flights to Mexico and back from Santiago and also from San Jose, Costa Rica to Quito, Equador.
We decided to look into getting other flights later on or maybe when we get there. This gives us the option of "overlanding it" if we have time. Out options are as follows:
- Iquique in Chile to Asuncion in Paraguay.
- Iguacu Falls to Rio de Janeiro.
- Rio to Buenos Aires.
- Buenos Aires to Ushuaia.
This could end up being quite expensive but we may skip Rio if time and money don’t allow.
We also got the passport renewals sent off via the Postal Service so we should get those back by the 28th February. We still have to check out visa requirements for Mexico and Equador because we are flying in but have no outbound ticket.
Both myself and S are feeling groggy today as we had a series of jabs yesterday. I got Hep A and B in one shot, Typhoid, Rabies and Yellow Fever in three others. I just have the boosters for Rabies and Hep A and B to get next week and in four weeks for the Rabies.
S got Typhoid, Rabies and Hep A and B. She has more shots to get than me so they are spreading them out.
Both arms are sore and my neck is a little stiff. Slept kinda weird last night and my morning swim was way more difficult than normal. I managed 1 kilometer but was staggering about after I got out of the pool. Who says that these vaccines have no effect on ye?
Got the names of a couple of letting agencies and so we will be putting the house on the market soon to rent for six months. We are hoping for a corporate letting as sadly the house and contents do mean a lot to us and we do have to live there again. Coporate lettings we hear have a better chance of leaving your house presentable at the end of
S went to work on more of the junk that we have lying about in the house and so college books have been filed away and a lot of rubbish has made it into the bin. We have already given five bags of clothes to the nearby charity shop and we have filled a lot of bins with rubbish. There’s nothing like having to vacate your house to make you realise what you actually need to live a normal life! I hereby classify myself as a horder.
