Monday.
9 weeks to go! Current issues on the agenda are as follows:
- No response at all to putting the house up for lease on daft.ie or with one particular agency so we will have to get a bit more proactive on this.
- Second round of vaccinations today at 5.30. Second shot of rabies and Hep A and B for me. S has to have both of those and Typhoid.
- Not feeling the best, possibly due to the shots last week. Is skin sensitivity, mild fever, low level headache a side effect of the vaccinations or am I just dehydrated from a five mile road race yesterday? Who knows!
- Anti-mozzy spray, anti-histamines and hypodermic syringes are all on the shopping list at the moment. We will have to get these on prescription from the doctor.
- Do you need to bring an eppi pen? Any-one out there know whether one of these is needed? No one seems to know so I think we are going to work on the basis of not bringing one.
- Both myself and S need a decent pair of tough combats for travelling. No idea where to get these or how much they are going to cost so may look into ordering on the net.
The end of last week and over the weekend including more tidying of the house, painting, de-mildewing, disposal of surplus furniture, depositing of charity bags etc. We have so much stuff it’s not funny any-more. How do you accumulate so much junk? I know my great grandchildren would probably appreciate going through this stuff in about 80 years time but I’m not really prepared to hang onto any of it until then.
Also trying to make a decision on whether I should get an MP3 player (Rio Volt SP250) costing about Eur350 or bringing a cheap CD walkman with a load of CDs. If I lose the MP3 player it would cost me the 350. If I lost 20 cd’s I would lose the same amount. Then there is the spend versus not spend initial outlay. Decision, decisions. In the end I might be able to comprimise. There is a cheaper Mp3 cd walkman which I could bring by Rio Volt so I am going to check that out. Also, I’m in the draw for an Ipod which would rock.
Speaking of free draws…..both Lowe Alpine and Columbia have draws for jackets at the moment so I have my hat in on that as well. Hey, I might not win but if your not in……
We are also trying to figure out the best way of downloading stuff from a digital camera onto the web. I have heard that some cameras have the software already installed and you just have to find a PC with a USB port. When I find out I will post the answer.
