Sambal goreng tempe

Ingredients
Tempe cut into squares of 1 x 1 cm
Boiled diced meat (Optional)
Petai (stink beans)
Cabe hijau (green peppers), chop finely
Cabe merah (red chilli pepper) chop finely
Garlic
Belimbing wuluh , Star fruit the small green cooking variety [Averrhoa. bilimbi] or you could use green tomatoes
Kecap Manis (Sweet soya sauce)
Daun salam (bay leaf)
Lengkuas (galangal)
Santan
Salt
Gula merah (brown palm sugar

Preparation:
1. Chop the onion and garlic very fine
2. Fry the onion, garlic and the peppers until golden brown, add the daun salam, lengkuas palm sugar and salt
3. Add the santan and throw in the rest of the ingredients. Simmer for about 15-20 minutes on medium heat.
