Location: (2004)
Kiwanis Park, east side of parking lot road.

  • Botanical Name: Lonicera tatarica
  • Drought Tolerant/Sun/Attracts Wildlife
  • Height & Spread: 3m x 2.5m
  • Form: upright spreading
  • Leaf: opposite; ovate; 2.5cm
  • Bark: white, pink or red flowers in pairs; blooms in spring
  • Fruit:orange or red berries in pairs; not edible
  • Problems: Russian aphid causes witch's broom
  • Use: informal hedge/scree; shrub border;
    fruit (summer & fall) is eaten by birds; butterfly nectar plant
