Les Sherman Park, south of playground.
- Botanical Name: Fraxinus pensylvanica integerrima
- Drought Tolerant/Sun-Partial Shade/Attracts Wildlife
- Height & Spread: 15m x 10m
- Form: high headed oval
- Leaf: opposite; compound leaf with 5-9 leaflets;
faintly irreularly toothed; yellow fall colour
- Bark: brownish-grey with shallow fissures
- Fruit: male ('Patmore') and female trees;
single seed wth long wing; seeds hang in clusters
- Problems: ash plant bug; ash borer; ash flower-gall mite
- Use: good shade or boulevard tree; seeds are eaten by birds
