Sheep Lake

Fall is just around the corner. We did this hike because I wanted to catch the last glimpse of the summer flowers.

A view along the way.

The fog was just starting to clear away Naches Peak.

Some of the Pearly Everlastings and Indian Paintbrushes catching the last summer rays.

So are the Asters and the Western Pasqueflowers,

along with the Fireweeds,

and the (I think) Orange Agoseris,

and also this Unknown.

Harebells too.

This butterfly was also catching the last of the summer rays.

and so was this butterfly...

This ground squirrel was starting to fatten him/herself up.

Sheep Lake. Jeff kept on going and ended up on the ridge above Crystal Lake while I waited at Sheep Lake and played with the little critters.

A jay robber.

Another ground squirrel.

Some Douglas Astors.
