Meierding Branch of Joy's Family Tree

Joy's mother was Fern Meierding, and here are some pictures and information about my family members with this rather unusual surname.

This is Joy's second great-grandmother, Katherine Meierding. 

KATHERINE WAGONER was born October 1830 in Wohnmar Kur Hessen, Germany (Source: 1880 Indiana census of Allen County, Ft. Wayne Vol 1 E.D. 120, Sheet 9, Line 31,  1900 census, IN, Allen Co., Ft. Wayne, 418 Washington, Vol. 3, E.D. 43, Sheet 16, Line 27, Obituary Fort Wayne Journal-Gazette   December 4, 1916 ), and died December 3, 1916 in Fort Wayne, Allen, IN (Source: Obituary) . She married CHRISTIAN MEIERDING 

CHRISTIAN MEIERDING was born Abt. 1835 in Prussia (Source: 1880 census gives children's father place of birth as Prussia.), and died September 14, 1878 in Fort Wayne, Allen, IN (Source: Death Record and Interment Record of Fort Wayne, Indiana Lutheran Churches, page 36, line 25)

ANDREW FREDERICK MEIERDING [Joy's great-grandfather], b. November 20, 1865, Fort Wayne, Allen, IN; d. December 02, 1952, San Francisco, San Francisco, CA.
