The Mission of the Academy is "To instruct, train, and develop the cadets so that they shall possess the character, the broad and basic military skills, and the education essential to the pursuit of a progressive military career."The Philippine Military Academy adheres to the philosophy that education must develop the whole person - this is the "total person" concept. Under this concept, education is not limited to the development of the intellect; it includes physical education, acquisition of knowledge, development of skills, habits, attitudes, and values which are required by a chosen profession.
