Welcome to the USS Pegasus, the fifth starship to bear the name. I am her commanding officer, Captain Soren Gadd Montgomery, and I welcome you to my ship.
Situated squarely in the middle of Romulan and Gorn space, the USS Pegasus sees more than her fair share of conflict. Based out of Starbase 247, the USS Pegasus is charged with several missions: First and foremost of these missions is the defense of this vital area of the Federation that lies between two major powers in the Quadrant.
The secondary mission of the USS Pegasus is scientific and exploratory in nature. Staffed with students of all sciences and equipped with 12 Scientific Bays, the USS Pegasus is more than capable in helping to understand the universe in which she travels.
