Chloe is sleeping in her hospital room while Jax watches her. Through the glass Monica and Alan are outside. Alan asks Monica if she thinks Chloe will be able to see again when she wakes up. Monica says she got to examine her first, but her vitals are good. They both comment at Jax being there and Ned and Alexis pulling their shifts. Monica says extended family is good at a time like this and events like these help put things in perspective. Jax touches Chloe’s face and she opens her eyes and says his name. Jax asks her if she can see. No, she says, she knows the touch of his hand. Jax tells Chloe that he has her for the duration. Monica goes in to check on Chloe and says she is healing nicely. Chloe asks about the head injury. Alan and Jax are outside and Jax tries to get information from Alan. Alan says her not regaining her sight could mean many things and they really should wait for Tony’s opinion. Alan says the most important thing is that they all remain optimistic so Chloe will. Jax goes back in to be with Chloe. Monica and Alan continue to marvel at Jax’s devotion. They think they know something about why the Jax’s and the Ashton’s are joined at the hip. Monica tells Alan they really don’t know anything they just think they do. Meanwhile, Chloe pleads with Jax to go and get some rest. He won’t hear of it. Edward storms in and demands from Monica he see Chloe. Alan and Monica both tell Ed she needs a calming influence and he isn’t it. He will do anything he damn well pleases. He barges in to Chloe’s room and dismisses Jax. Now family has arrived. Chloe can’t believe that Edward would do that and she needs his help convincing Jax to go get something to eat and to rest. It works. Jax says he will be back and Ed tells him not to hurry. Chloe tells him to hurry but be rested. Edward tells Chloe that he is very concerned about her accident and that he is too old and Lila too fragile to lose her. He wants to apologize for being a pigheaded fool and aligning himself with Gertrude. Chloe makes him feel better. Edward says family is more important than ELQ and he is sorry. Jax comes back in and Ed tells Jax he is lucky that Chloe cares for Jax are he would be in a world of trouble. Chloe cries to Jax after Edward leaves that she doesn’t know how much longer she can brave. Fear is fine but she has to fight back. Chloe says she doesn’t think anyone knows how scared she is. Jax says it is okay and that he loves her whether she is laughing, dancing in the rain and that there is no one in the world for him but her. She tells Jax she loves him too and feels the same way.

Jax comforting Chloe. She asks if it’s been 72 hours yet (that’s when the swelling is supposed to go down so she can see again). Tony comes in and checks her. He tells her the swelling is going down, but isn’t super-encouraging either. She offers to make him a Chloe Morgan original doctor’s coat. Alexis sits with Chloe while Tony briefs Jax and Ned. Alexis brought Chloe truffles. Chloe is worried that the doctor isn’t as optimistic as she would like. A tear drops down her cheek as Alexis feeds her a truffle.

Tony tells the boys that while the swelling is going down, it isn’t fast enough, and Chloe should be seeing some by now. They ask about options and getting a second opinion.

Jax bringing Chloe roses, chocolate and himself as gifts. They kiss and coo over each other. Ned and Alexis show up to see how things are going. Tony comes and flashes a light at Chloes' eyes. She wants to know why she can't see. Possibly bone fragments are putting pressure on her optic nerve. He doesn't want to operate yet, things could still work out by themselves. Chloe asks everyone to leave she wants some time alone. Ned, Alexis and Jax go into hall and start arguing over what course of action should be taken. Chloe must have heard them, because she gets out of bed and shuffles over to the door to hear better. On her way back to bed, she bumps into a tray table and knocks over the roses Jax had brought. Everyone rushes in; Jax carries her to bed. Being blind is my problem, I'll deal with it she says. It's mine too he insists, because I love you. I've loved you for a long time. I just didn't say it.

Jax arranged with Tony to take Chloe on an outing to the park. Jax lay down next to Chloe in her hospital bed at the end of the day. The Jax's and Ashton's exchanged gifts at the hospital. Later, Ned gave Alexis an engagement ring to wear on her right hand for now.

Stefan spills the beans to Alexis. She wants him to tell Laura about everything. He wants her to deal with the legal aspects of putting Helena in prison. Ned is a little tense about this particular situation because he knows that Helena is capable of.

Over at the hospital, a determined Chloe decided it was time to go home. Tony gave her the okay to leave and explained that she'll need occupational therapy to learn how to function at home now that she's blind. She broke down upon hearing that news but got comfort in Jax's arms. Gertrude was lurking in the hallways, but Amy fortunately appeared at just the right time and prevented her from entering the room and seeing Jax and Chloe together. Ned and Jax escorted Chloe out via wheelchair at the show's end.

Before showing up to see his "wife," Ned had an interesting meeting with Edward at the PC Grille. Edward informed him of the true parentage of Carly's baby and told him he needed to help the family against Sonny. Just then AJ arrived by their table and thus overheard Edward's plea for help from Ned. After Edward left, Ned and AJ briefly discussed the situation. AJ told Ned of his plan to raise the baby as a Q. Ned then told him, that doing so would "drive him to drink" and then got up and left. Ned's agrees to hire Nikolas at L & B.

Alexis is on the phone at her penthouse on a business call as Jax, Chloe and Ned come in. Chloe says she wants to try to figure out the furniture placement on her own. She just wants to be pointed in the right direction. Jax points her in it and they all smile their encouragement as she makes it to the couch. Gertrude, typically sitting at the Grill bar, is paying off the waiter as he informs Chloe's evil aunt that Jax and Ned arrived with Chloe moments earlier. Gertrude smugly stirs her martini anticipating victory.

Back at the penthouse, the Jacks' and Ashtons toast with champagne to Chloe's discharge from the hospital. They wonder if their marriages are still perceived as others to be intact. They all admit they hadn't been as cautious as usual and didn't really know. All agreed Chloe is the priority. Alexis gets a call and has to go help a client. Ned says he has to go to and will walk her out, leaving Chloe and Jax alone. Jax asks Chloe how she is doing. She says, honestly, she is trying not to panic. She says as long as she is in the moment she is fine. When she thinks about her future she just doesn't know how to make the blindness fit in. Jax reassures her that she may not have to. The swelling could go down. Chloe asks Jax to guide her to the window. He does and as they are both looking out Chloe tells her memories of the view, placing the park, the ELQ building and other major landmarks. She tells him she remembers when she first saw the view and Jax in front of it. She says she can remember him smiling and as long as she has that image it will be okay even if she never sees again. They go sit on the couch and Chloe tells Jax how her senses are heightened and she can smell the fire and hear it crackle. She wishes she could see him in the firelight. Jax tells her that she can and puts her hand on his face as they kiss. She tells Jax she misses him and wants to make love. Jax asks if she is sure. She says surer than anything else in her life and they begin to make love. Afterwards, Jax asks Chloe if she would like to take a bubblebath for two. Chloe says she would love it. Just as a shirtless Jax lifts Chloe up to carry her to the bath, Gertrude bursts in with a photographer who begins snapping pictures. "Well, well what do we have here?" she taunts."

Alexis arrives at Sonny's penthouse and asks if she should expect them to be interrupted by the police or the FBI. Sonny tells her neither, that he needs to know his legal parental rights. Alexis looks surprised and tells Sonny that she didn't know he had a child. Sonny tells her he just found out that Carly is pregnant ands it's his baby. Alexis asks Sonny if he is sure it is his and he says he knows for a fact Carly only slept with him when the baby was conceived. He also tells her that he confronted Carly and she confirmed it. Alexis tells him his chances of winning a custody battle are slim and that she doesn't know if she wants to take his case. Sonny tell her that the Quartermaines only want to raise his baby to keep Michael and that he doesn't want his baby treated like a stray puppy. He will do whatever is necessary to insure his baby's safety. He says he doesn't want to take away the baby from Carly if she cooperates, although he doesn't think it is good for the baby to be with Carly. Alexis tells Sonny she will think about it and that he is not father material according to the courts. But then again, Carly isn't exactly the best either. They will need a paternity test in order to proceed. Sonny says he will do whatever it takes. Alexis says she thinks he might have possibilities and smiles as she leaves.

Later, Alexis arrives at the Grill and meets Ned at a table. She excitedly tells him he won't believe what her client wanted her to do. Ned suggests, "File for child custody?" Alexis is bummed her surprised is ruined and Ned tells her Edward told him earlier. He asks Alexis hopefully if she told Sonny no.

Gertrude has walked in on Jax and Chloe with a photographer, and is gleeful that she has finally caught them. Chloe stumbles across the room in an attempt to get at Gertrude…the photographer notices she’s blind and has an attack of conscience. He gives the film to Jax and leaves. Chloe says nothing is more important than love and tells Gertrude she’s won. Gertrude tries to gloat until Jax reminds her that he’s a corporate raider and enjoys eating companies like hers for breakfast. He calls the police and plans to press charges. Taggert shows up and she replays the whole story of the mixed marrieds…Taggert isn’t impressed and reads her rights to her. She threatens to sic Edward on them: Chloe says to tell him she said hi. After he hauls her off, Alexis points out that it’s true: they did commit fraud. Alexis comments they’ve lost everything…Chloe disagrees as she pats Jax’s knee.

Alexis talks to Ned and agonizes about whether or not to help Sonny. Ned thinks it’s about getting the Q’s…Alexis thinks his intentions are more honorable. Ned points out that he really misses his daughter but for Brooke Lynn’s sake, he’s kept it out of court. They are relieved not to have to sneak around anymore. Ned says to Jax, “No more kissing Alexis.” They swap spouses for the night and are a little sentimental as they say goodnight. Ned and Alexis leave. Jax kisses as she says, “I never knew losing everything would feel this good…”

Ned and Alexis sit in bed and comment they miss cheating. Chloe tells Jax she is worried that she’s come home too soon. He comforts her and tells her to get some sleep. Alexis thinks her in-laws will be crushed, and she is going to miss being a Jax. Chloe misses her sight…and regrets the wasted time. Jax comforts her with kisses.

The end of the "mixed-marrieds" Ned and Chloe show up at Jaxs' penthouse, with Gertrude hot on their heels. Chloe Morgan Designs is now legally Gerts'. No one seems too upset about it. Chloe says despite not being able to see, she is not the blind one in the room. (Meaning Love/relationships are important; something Gert doesn't seem to get.) Ned leaves to take care of some business.

Jax and Chloe show up at L&B. Chloe wants to retrieve her voice-mail. As an overly eager Juan tries to help her get across the room, a vase gets knocked over and broken. Juan gets upset and embarrassed. Jax send the teens out for Hot chocolate. As they sit at a table, Chloe says it was pointless to show up. Liz walks in looking for J. and Em. As she talks with Chloe, the phone start ringing. After 4 rings, Chloe decides to answer it. Whoever is on the line wants to know the # for a dress Chloe designed for the Oscars. Liz finds the drawing and reads it to her. Chloe again offers Liz a job as her assistant; Liz accepts.

We see Alexis making notes to herself about lines of research for Sonny's planned custody battle. Stephan interupts her and wants to know what progress she has made on getting a case together against Helena. She has $ and travel trails that connect Faisona and Helena and is working on getting "hard" evidence. She expresses her disapproval at how he is handling things. Stephan repeats his reasons for not telling anyone else that Lucky is alive. Says they just missed getting Lucky in Nova Scotia, but I have someone who can tell me where he is now.

Jax and Chloe are at the hospital; unfortunately, Tony has no good news for them. Interesting to note that Chloe's the shining ray of bright white, while Jax is a black shadow beside her; clothing makes all the difference. Jax and Chloe at L&B. Liz shows up, ready and raring to go. Chloe asks for some fabric samples--and Jax leaves. Chloe asks Liz to draw the dress she has in her head.

Back with Sonny and Alexis, where they make lists--first of the people who know about Deke's violence and could testify to it during a custody hearing, then of all the vile, reprehensible things Sonny's done. They talk about how he threw Larkin through a window, how he plead no contest to a prior misdemeanor, and then Karen Wexler. Alexis was disgusted--but she couldn't get too angry, 'causethe phone rang with news of Roy's capture. And as Alexis protested strenuously about having to defend Sonny's thugs, he simply lead theway out of the Penthouse, saying very coolly, "You're the greatest."

Well, Liz and Chloe have been designing by dictation...and Jax, who has returned with a Big Ol' Box, is impressed. He sends Liz a subliminalmessage to leave them alone, so she exits, and he gives Chloe yet another coat.

Sonny and Alexis march through the cop shop like they own the place, and get in to see Roy, who is showing off his skills in fiction to Taggert. Dara appears briefly. Sonny's intent on staying for the questioning--but Alexis sends him to the hospital for the paternity test. Beautiful quote here, by the way; before leaving, Sonny asks his attourney, "You sure you can handle this?" To which the always unflappable Ms. Davis answers, "No. I'm completely incompetant, isn't that why you pay me?" God, I love these two!

Back at L&B, Jax and Chloe have formed a band and are performingtheir latest hit, "Goin' to Alaska and we're--gonna go sno-ow-shoeing..." Juan, Emily and Nik snap their fingers and attempt harmony in the background. Then--suddenly--GASP!!! Chloe sees movement! What a thrill! What a moment!

The cops are stalling Roy's paperwork, and Alexis has some unsettling news: Taggert says he had an anonymous tip about the meeting! Jax, Chloe, Ned and Alexis were overwhelmed with joy that she could see, even though things were fuzzy. She sent Ned and Alexis out to celebrate, which they did, in bed, talking about how different things had turned out than when they had first started the marriage-go-round. Chloe and Jax said love things for a while, then he went out for a while to let her sleep. When he returned, it was with a beautiful bouquet of colorful flowers. She said that she loved color so much, she didn’t know how she would have lived without it.

Chloe is released from the hospital today. Jax brings her a dress which looks just like the one she dreamed about wearing when she was dancing with Jax. Jax has arranged for the park to be heated and the two of them will dance the night away.

As Jax and Chloe are dancing in formal wear in her hospital room to celebrate her discharge, Tony sadly informs them that her last C-T scan showed an irregularity in the occipital lobe that he felt was most likely a tumor. He told her that he wanted to keep her in the hospital longer and schedule a biopsy of the area to determine if it was malignant. She asked why it hadn't shown up before and he said that it might have been obscured by the hemorrhage or might not have been there. If it wasn't there, that means it's growing fast. He also told her that it was possible it was just a benign cyst. Jax comforted her after Tony left.

Nikolas walked in just as Stefan adamantly declared to Alexis that he would prove to Laura that he had not kidnapped Lucky. Ned walked in on Edward & AJ, asking Edward what he wanted to see him about. Edward confessed that he was wrong about AJ and begged Ned to come back to ELQ. Ned told him that he'd created this mess, now he'd have to fix it.

Jax and Alexis tell his parents their marriage was phony and Jax really loves Chloe. He demanded they try to like Chloe and support her because of her illness & they agreed to. They told Alexis they will always love her like family. Ned got Chloe out of the hospital and took her to Jax's.

At Ned came in and asked Juan to do some filing in the back and Emily used the opportunity to ask Ned to let Juan sing for him again. Ned called Juan into the office and asked him what he wanted to do with his life. After he few nervous glances at Emily, Juan bucked up and affirmed confidently that he wanted to sing. Em set up the super industrial Mr. Microphone and Juan sang…"Tonight we celebrate…", with background music, studio production effects. Afterward, Ned told him that he had all it takes to be a success, the voice, the presence, but that unfortunately, L&B just didn't have enough money to launch a new career. All of their limited funding was going to support their existing artists. Emily was disappointed, but Juan was excited that Ned had validated his talent.

Chloe and Mrs. Jax are talking. Mrs. Jax thinks Jax is trying to "save" Chloe as he couldn't save Brenda or Miranda. Mrs. Jax is tells Chloe that Jax simply does not need another heartache, he can't try to save her because she doesn't think he can take it if she doesn't make it. Jax is very upset about this when he figures out what is going on but Chloe is understanding and sympathetic...

Jax and Chloe get word from GH that Chloe's biopsy results are in. At the hospital, Tony tells her that the tumor is benign. However, if it continues to grow it will put pressure on the occipital lobe and may cause permanent blindness. Tony recommended a drug therapy. They discussed the treatment, including possible additional effects from the tumor (blurred vision, vivid dreams, headaches), and Tony asked her to keep a diary. Jax and Chloe went back to his home to drink a toast, but while Jax was getting the supplies Chloe fell asleep and dreams of the hit and run.

At the PC Grille, AJ ordered a drink at the bar, but Ned arrived and canceled the order. AJ again began to try to justify his arson, this time by comparing his actions to some of Ned's, Alexis', and Jason's dealings. Ned wasn't having any, though, and pointed out that AJ was right back were it all began, at the bar. AJ continued to feel sorry for himself and stormed off, vowing to get his son back. Alexis entered as he left, and she and Ned discussed AJ's drinking and Sonny's character, about which they agreed to disagree. Chloe phoned Ned with her report and prognosis, and Alexis and Ned were relieved.

Napping at Jax’s penthouse on the chaise lounge, Chloe had a nightmare about the accident. He gently woke her and they talked about it. He said that she was remembering it and that was good. She told him that in her dream, it was she who was driving the car that hit her. She told him that she had to get to L&B to do some work and he asked her if it couldn’t wait. She regretfully told him it could not. He said that if they lived together, they wouldn’t have to say good-bye nearly as much. She at first thought he was hovering over her and refused, but after he vowed his love for her and said he couldn’t waste one moment they could spend together, she agreed to move in that night.

Ned says that he'll have to close down L&B if he can't get any new acts signed to their label. Alexis and Nik try to convince him to bring back Eddie Main back... because this new artist named Pink something wants him to open for her tour... but Ned is adamant about not bringing that part of his past up.

Jax and Chloe moved in together, and joked about her many possessions and his lack of kitchen supplies. Alexis arrived with the divorce papers, and Chloe tactfully exited to retrieve something forgotten at her suite. Jax, ever the gentleman, and Alexis disagreed about who would file against whom (Ed: NY is not a no-fault divorce state - there must be one person clearly in the wrong) and it was decided that Alexis would file against Jax. Alexis expressed concerns that Jax was moving Chloe in too soon, that Jax loves deeply and gets his heart broken when life happens. She wanted Jax to take care of himself, but Jax insisted that loving Chloe was doing just that. They spent some time discussing what true friends they are to one another and agreed that they would miss being married. Alexis, with tears in her eyes, blew a kiss as she left, and Jax thoughtfully removed his wedding ring and slipped it in his pocket. He was shuffling some of Chloe's boxes around when she returned. They joked about his being "back on the market", then she showed him the figurine she'd retrieved from her suite. Her mother had given it to her, telling Chloe that if she took it wherever she lived, it would make the place her home. Jax put the figurine on the mantelpiece and declared "You are home, Chloe".

Chloe takes her latest round of drugs. She tells Jax she's feeling just fine and that she hasn't been experiencing any side effects from the medication. Ned and Alexis show up, and Ned and Chloe head down to the Grill so they can go over the divorce agreement Alexis has worked out for them. Jax offers to get some room service--but Alexis says that she'd prefer to cook for him one last time. Her idea of cooking is a bowl of popcorn!

At the Grill, Tony happens upon Ned and Chloe, and starts in on an unofficial medical quiz. Chloe reports then adds that she and Ned are divorcing. Tony, needless to say, doesn't seem shocked, and wanders over to the bar so he can provide later plot development (watch for it!). The almost-swinging singles go back to discussing the fate of their companies, their love interests, and whether or not they'd repeat this whole marriage fiasco. Ned says yes; Chloe neglects to comment.

They discuss the ring Alexis is wearing on her lefthand ring finger and then, she makes the stunning suggestion that they all stay married to the ones they're married to. Jax immediately asks what Ned's done to make her want this, and she insists that it's nothing; if they stay married, they can continue to fight Gertrude, build up companies... Jax doesn't buy it. Finally he wears her down, and she confesses that the thought of her happiness being dependent on someone else terrifies her.

Ned and Chloe are very amicably dealing with their divorce agreement--but the lighthearted mood is brokenwhen AJ intrudes, deciding that they should all celebrate the dissolution of their marriages.

Jax lectures Alexis on love. They discuss Ned's track record with marriage (in which Chloe and Katherine don't count, naturally). Much tender talk of trust issues and declarations of friendship.

AJ and Ned insult each other, after which AJ decides he needs a drink, and goes to get one. Ned, of course, stops him, but before they can get into throwing punches, Tony interjects, saying that he'll make sure AJ gets home without killing anyone. Ned and AJ shoot him a pair of absolutely prieless looks. Ned and Chloe leave the poor drunk with Tony, and go to have their supper. On their way, they tell each other to keep their wedding rings as a memento of their time together.

Jax tells Alexis that Chloe's sick, she could go blind, he can't take her to Alaska, he's all worried, she's on medication...Alexis sends out a witty rejoinder about her worries for her and Ned, and then the two almost-exes snuggle. Ned and Chloe walk in on a lovely best friends moment, and the two couples partner up with the ones they've generally agreed they're supposed to be with. More snuggling.

Alexis helped Chloe put together a list of fabric suppliers who could do a quick turnaround and have some Chloe Morgan designs at a couple of shows before the fashion season ended. Jax argued on the phone with people unseen about topics unknown. Alexis told Chloe she wasn't rushing her and Chloe assured her there was no way L&B was going to go under if she could help it. Chloe tried to calm Jax after he finished ranting at the person on the phone, but he said he needed a break and went for a run. Alexis told Chloe Jax just needed some time. Chloe wisely noted that she felt Jax was reacting to the stress of not being able to negotiate her illness. Alexis told her to just love him. Later, Chloe reassured Jax that she was strong enough to handle her illness and he didn't have to feel so helpless.

Alexis lit candles and had on a long nighty to surprise Ned. They talked about the pros and cons of their commitment and she was overjoyed when he said they didn't have to get married just because their divorces were final.

Ned and Jax, on the speakerphone with an unidentified man, made plans to take Chloe Morgan Designs away from Gertrude. At first Chloe had misgivings, but when Ned and Jax pointed out that once the company was liquidated she'd be able to design under her own name again, she approved and was touched by their deed. After Ned left, Jax and Chloe discussed the joys of corporate raiding until her beeper went off, signifying that it was time to take her meds. Jax left for a business meeting, and Chloe fell asleep. She had a nightmare of moving through bushes and palm fronds while in the background "Once Upon a Dream" played, and just as she was focusing on something shiny on the rocks, Jax comes into the apartment to find Chloe packing a suitcase. She tells him she is kidnapping him and taking him to St. Petersburg. He asks what happened, she tries to tell him it’s just been too long. He realizes she’s covering something up, and asks if the medicine isn’t working. She tearfully says no, and he holds her while she cries. He reassures her that he has people researching it. She says if she only has a few months she wants to travel, not waste it.

Jax and Chloe were packing for a trip to Russia when a phone call came in - Edward had successfully raided a tech company that Jax wanted. Jax was pleased despite his loss and explained that that sort of wheeling and dealing is what he enjoys and is good at. He left immediately to go to the Quartermaines' and congratulate Edward, and as soon as he was out the door, Chloe clutched her head, moaning.

At the Quartermaine house, Edward offered Ned some celebratory champagne, and they sparred verbally while awaiting Jax' arrival. He showed up a moment later and congratulated Edward. They traded cracks about profits and financial skills, but all understood that the point of the maneuver was for Edward to take something that belonged to Jax. After answering questions about Chloe's condition, Jax left to return home.Edward immediately went into the uncertainty routine - praying that Jax doesn't go after ELQ, worrying that he's in too deep this time - but Ned recognized this as a ploy to lure him back, and refused to take the bait. He told Edward that he was the one who picked the fight with Jax and he's on his own. Edward sputtered and called Ned an ingrate, but Ned just smiled, thanked him, and left.

Chloe had fallen asleep and was dreaming about a diner, "Once Upon a Dream" playing on the jukebox. She wakened as Jax returned, and he explained that Edward had thrown down the challenge and now it's his turn. Chloe immediately decided to cancel the trip, over Jax' protests, since it would give Edward time to rally his forces if they left at that time.

Alexis went to Stefan's office and found him going through old photos of Laura. He demanded the file she'd brought, and searched through it hurriedly, insisting that he had to find Lucky before Luke and Laura did. He told Alexis about his recent trips to the Haunted Star and to Ice Princess Island, and admitted that he'd lost Laura. Alexis questioned him about his plan, and he explained that he was trying to discern where Laura had been happiest, as that would be where Helena could do the greatest emotional damage. He also explained Felicia's presence - Luke was having an affair with her. Stefan suggested that Helena might be nearing the end of her tour, realizing that she would be caught if she kept it up much longer. Alexis wondered if perhaps Helena were trying to lure everyone to the same spot at the same time, and from that Stefan reasoned that they would be not at Port Charles, the last place, but the next to last place - Vancouver.

The fab four met for dinner and discussed Edward snaking Jax’s company out from under him. The other three marveled at Chloe’s support of Edward, listing all his sins from cheating on Lila to supporting Gertrude to undermining the distribution deal at L&B. Finally, she agreed that Edward needs to be put in his place.

Secretly, Jax was conferring with two doctors, telling them that Chloe had started her second medication. Ned came upon him during the phone call and asked if Chloe’s medication was not working. He told him that he was talking to a doctor in Johannasburg who was having luck in the field. Ned observed that Jax was going after Edward so vehemently because Edward was someone he could fight.

Ned was devastated to learn that L&B’s sound board needed to be replaced, to the tune of $10,000. As he was mourning the loss of their last capital, Edward came in and began needling him about L&B’s shaky ground. He offered to buy out Ned’s ELQ stocks to give him some ready money. Ned refused and showed him the door. Chloe arrived and Edward speculated that Jax had pulled her into his camp and she told him she was in her own camp. Together, she and Ned went to the back and Edward started to leave.

Alexis came to talk to Stefan about the events and he told her Helena was in custody in British Columbia. She told him that if he didn’t find Lucky, he’d have no case. He was sure that he would. He filled her in on Helena letting Lucky go and what that could mean. He also told her that he was over Laura. Nikolas stormed in and demanded to know where Lucky was. Stefan said that he didn’t know, but would find him. Nikolas informed his uncle that he would not be waiting that long.

AJ arrived at Jax’s penthouse and wanted to know why he was summoned. Jax smiled playfully and told him he had a deal that might interest him. They reached an agreement on some deal to do Edward in (off screen explanation that we, the viewers, were not privvy to). AJ said he was just trying to picture the look on Edward’s face and said he was in. Chloe arrived and they exchanged pleasantries and condolences. AJ left and Chloe immediately asked Jax what AJ was doing there. Jaxtold her he had worked out a deal with AJ and she expressed her concerns over dealing with AJ when he was drinking. Jax told him he’d take his chances.

Alexis arrived at L&B and Ned filled her in on the soundboard problems and Edward’s visit. He told her he had considered selling his ELQ stock, but couldn’t do it. She told him there was one way to bring money into L&B immediately…two words. “Eddie Maine” He balked at first, but agreed to one night, money up front. They talked about some of the insecurities he had about performing again.

Jax was busy on the phone with business dealings, and when he hung up, asked Chloe if his career was going to be a problem for her. She admitted that she was not entirely comfortable with his rivalry with the Quartermaines, but other than that had no problem with his endeavors and promised no interference. She did say, however, that AJ's involvement concerned her, and when Jax left to go to a business meeting, Chloe phoned AJ. AJ arrived shortly thereafter, and wondered who had asked Chloe to telephone him. She said that she'd "made a unilateral decision all on my own" and they talked about the bad breaks they'd both experienced recently. Chloe urged AJ not to trash his life - to stop drinking, make up with his family and not raid "some little ELQ subsidiary". AJ picked up on this last bit, realizing that Jax hadn't told Chloe that he was going after ELQ in its entirety, but before he could comment, Jax returned. Jax was surprised to see AJ, but Chloe explained that they were simply discussing family matters. AJ left, and Jax admitted to Chloe that his deal with AJ was to buy his shares of ELQ stock.

Bobbie asked Alexis to meet with her and she described Roy's plight and begged her to help him. Alexis said she couldn't really do anything because the case was not going to go to trial, but suggested that Bobbie pull in Hannah because she was a Fed and had the inside connections. Bobbie agreed that was a good idea. Alexis left.

Alexis informed Stefan that Helena would be released from custody the nest day unless he could produce some evidence against her. Stefan assures her that he would have Lucky soon and was having Laura followed. Alexis wryly commented that having her followed would not exactly endear him to Laura and he told her that pleasing Laura was not a priority. Alexis was surprised that Stefan could cut Laura off just like that and he assured her it was so.

Jax tried to get Chloe to drink a protein shake, but she managed to evade him. The bell rang and Stefan was at the door. Chloe excused herself for a walk. Stefan tried to get Jax to join his crusade against Helena, pointing out that Helena had almost killed Chloe and tried to kill him and Alexis when the helicopter crashed. He said he wanted Jax to get Helena to do business with him and then to set her up. Jax said he would consider it.

Ned and Edward met with Edward saying he hoped Ned had changed his mind about selling the ELQ stocks. Ned pointed out that battling Jax alone was going to be a challenge for Edward. Ned made it clear that he was not there to come back to ELQ but to make Edward aware of how serious the Jax situation is. Edward pretty much blew him off once he learned he wasn’t going to return to the ELQ fold.

Alexis and Chloe rested on a park bench after their power walk. Alexis had a hard time talking having lost her voice. They commiserated about Jax’s protein shakes. Chloe confided in Alexis how hard it is having her medical condition between her and Jax.

Ned went to see Jax and conferred about Chloe’s medical condition and the doctors Jax had consulted. Ned also spoke to Jax about the war with Edward. Jax shared his fears and pain over Chloe’s illness with Ned while Chloe and Alexis spoke.

Back at home while Jax was out on business, Chloe dreamed of a music box playing the song, “Once Upon a Dream”. The dream was so real, it was hard for her to tell that she’d been asleep.

Chloe and Lila were having a pleasant visit, talking about the ways their men deal with adversity, when Lucy Coe came in. She asked Chloe about three or four designs for the Nurse's Ball, and Chloe agreed before leaving. Lucy then came to the real reason for her visit: to plead with Lila to intercede with Edward on her behalf in the matter of the vacant hospital Board seat. Edward came in, and after some excessive flattery and flirting, Lucy left. Edward asked Lila to advise him as to whom he should back for the seat, but Lila refused, explaining that Edward always does exactly as he wishes anyway.

Jax was on the phone with Tracy Quartermaine, trying to persuade her to sell her ELQ stock to him. Later, Chloe returned and found evidence suggesting that Jax was trying to take over all of ELQ, rather than the small subsidiary that he had first proposed, and he admitted that that was indeed his plan. Chloe felt that taking over ELQ is excessive retaliation for Edward's raiding Jax's subsidiary, but Jax explained that it's not retaliation at all - just business, and Edward would do the same to him if he had the chance. Chloe continued to be concerned about Edward, but Jax refused to pass up the opportunity just to spare Edward's feelings. Chloe asked if he would pass it by for her, but he explained that he has to do this, although he would not ask for her support. Jax asked Chloe to promise that she would not say anything about his plans to the Quartermaines, and Chloe promised, but reiterated that she was not happy with the situation.

Alexis arrives at the nurses' station and Bobbie excuses herself to discuss Roy's situation with her. She fills her in on Roy's dangerous life inside the big house. She wants to know if there is some way Alexis can get an emergency transfer. She further explains that Larkin is corrupt. Alexis says she can try but it will be difficult without proof. Bobbie begins to cry and Alexis tells her she will do whatever she can and begin workingon it right away. Bobbie says thanks and tries to compose herself.

Ned and Alexis are at the Grill discussing the return of Eddie Maine. Ned assures her it is a one-time deal. Alexis tells Ned that she hopes not. She is looking forward to seeing her man in those leather pants. He explains to her that it has to be a one-time thing. He was a different person when he was performing. He was married to Lois and had Brenda as a manager. He isn't the same. Alexis says she is worried about the fans and is polishing up her groupie skills. Ned tells her he will still wear the pants for her. Alexis's cell phone rings and it is Bobbie. She asks Alexis to come to the hospital to talk to her about something important to do with Roy. Alexis says she is on her way. Ned and Alexis get up and start to leave the grill. Just then Alexis and Ned run in to Sonny and Carly. Alexis tells Sonny she needs to speak to him. Carly and Ned exchange looks. She wants to know what he is looking at. Ned replies, "A human wrecking ball." He thinks AJ deserves whatever he gets, but not his grandmother. Has Carly made arrangements for Lila to see Michael? Yes? Good, Ned replies. Ned excuses himself to get Alexis's car and Carly goes to the table. Alexis fills Sonny in on the call she received from Bobbie. Sonny says to give her time and he will pick up the bill. Alexis says she doesn't care about the bill she just wanted him to know what was going on. He thanks her.

Chloe arrives at the penthouse to find a gift and flowers. She calls out to Jax he comes down and tells her to open the gift. It is a book about St. Petersburg. He wants her to plan their itinerary and he wants to take her tonight if possible. Chloe is concerned that this trip could be Jax's way of distracting her from the ELQ takeover that Jax is planning. Jax tells Chloe they have phones in Russia. He knows that if she wants to tip off Edward he can't stop her. They decide not to talk about anything, any takeovers, illnesses, and just each other. They will meet back in four hours and hit the road. In the meantime, Jax goes to GH to see Tony. He wants to make sure that he doesn't get stuck in Russia with a very sick Chloe. Tony gives his blessing and tells Jax to take her and have as much fun as possible. When Jax returns to the penthouse he finds Chloe sleeping on the couch. He goes upstairs. Chloe is dreaming that she is at GH. That horrible music box music is playing in the background as she sees Tony. He is holding the music box in his hands.

Jax came out with his bags, all set to take Chloe to Russia for a holiday. Chloe told him about her dream of Tony at the nurses' station with the music box, and admitted that the tune is familiar but she can't quite place it. Jax reminded her that Tony had warned her about vivid dreams, and they decided the dream simply reflected her fears about the tumor. Ned and Alexis arrived for a bon voyage champagne, and while Jax and Alexis conferred, Ned told Chloe that he would tell the family about her trip. Ned and Alexis left, and Jax noticed that Chloe was a little withdrawn. He wondered if she were nervous about the trip, and admitted talking to Tony about her medical well being. She said that she didn't mind that he'd spoken to Tony, and reminded him that they'd agreed to have no secrets from one another. What concerned her, she admitted, was that Ned had made her realize how much Lila and Edward care for her, and she was having misgivings about Jax's plan to take ELQ away from them. Jax insisted once again that his business dealings were nothing personal, and that Chloe should accept what he does they way he accepts her design business as none of his concern. Jax said that he was beginning to regret having told her about his plan, and after Chloe admitted that she was tempted to tell Ned about the takeover plot, she vowed to forget everything that might stand in the way of their holiday together.

Back in their room, Alexis waited in bed while Ned tried on Eddie Maine clothes. She approved his wardrobe and they made love (with Eddie Maine music in the background). Later, they enjoyed some pillow talk about the music business and Eddie's prospects.

Chloe and Jax brushed up on their Russian and he promised her they would see every bit of St Petersburg. They had ate a meal, amongst much laughter, then went out sightseeing. As they were leaving, Jaxreceived a fax and gallantly did not open the envelope the bellhop had delivered it in. Returning from their sightseeing, Chloe told Jax that he had created a memory for her that would last a lifetime. He presented her with a beautiful, regal gown and told her she was a goddess in the gown. He told her this was the night all of her dreams would come true.

Stefan welcomed Alexis and told her that they were meeting with the doctor who had examined Lucky while Stefan briefly had him. While they waited, Stefan told her he would be finished with Laura the second he proved her wrong about his involvement in Lucky's kidnapping. Dr Gladstone was shown in and as they interviewed him, it became clear that his impression was that Lucky was fine. When asked about the topic of mind control, he admitted that his experience was minimal, but that Lucky didn't exhibit any of the classic signs. He did, however, suggest that there were milder forms of mind control that were less detectable. After he left, Stefan brought up that Katherine had returned a totally different person after being in Helena's care and now so had Lucky. Alexis suggested that perhaps Lucky was just angry that he'd again gotten caught in the Spencer-Cassadine war.

Jax took Chloe into the Peterhof Hall for dinner and dancing. They danced to an orchestra until they began to play the music from Chloe's dream…the music box song, "The Sleeping Beauty Waltz." Jax offered to have the orchestra stop, but Chloe felt it might help her to hear the musical piece all the way through. She told Jax that it felt like a strange deja vu, as though she was meant to be there at that moment. Jax told her that obviously her subconscious was trying to send her a message.

Ned practiced guitar and felt he needed an audience, so Alexis came to rapt attention. A knock on the door interrupted them and Stefan said he needed to speak with Alexis alone. He told her that the doctor they had interviewed who had examined Lucky had disappeared right after their meeting without a trace. They both knew Helena was behind it. Ned interrupted to say that there was no way Alexis was going to risk her life in Stefan's quest to bring down Helena. He pointed out that they keep talking about Helena being their common enemy, but Alexis is the one that keeps almost getting killed. Stefan excused himself and told Alexis he would talk to her later. After he left, she asked Ned when he'd turned into a caveman. He confided in her how much it hurt him that she was so willing to risk her life and what they have together. Alexis countered that she would rem ain at risk as long as Helena was free, but Ned said he felt Helena wouldn't even look her away if she stayed out of the line of fire. Alexis told him that she loved him and would consider what he'd said. She said no one had ever loved her the way he did and it meant the world to her.

Jax took Chloe to a music box museum in hopes of finding a match forthe one in her dreams. They found one that was very similar, so they surmised that hers was of Russian origin.

Chloe dreamt she was walking on the Port Charles docks and saw the music box floating in the water. She tried to reach it, but it floated out of reach and she woke crying out "No, come back!". Jax was there, and after Chloe told him about her dream he tried some amateur psychology to help her figure out the meaning. He wanted to start on a new travel adventure, but she decided returning to PC would be the best bet, since, in her dreams, that is where the music box is always located. Jax vowed to help her understand what the dream is trying to tell her.

Alexis and Ned had a brief moment where Ned sang to Alexis prior to driving her to court. Juan came in at the end of the song and complemented Ned by saying his playing was awesome.

Chloe received a visit from Edward Quartermaine shortly after she returned from her trip. (Jax had not returned because he had to stop in New York to handle some business - more ELQ Stocks.) Edward began with friendly polite conversation about their trip, but soon he moved onto the big picture, ELQ. He was stunned that Chloe knew about Jax's plan to take over ELQ and did not tell him. Edward proceeded to emotionally blackmail Chloe and illustrate just how the family is in peril and needs her to intercede with Jax. Jax walked in the penthouse. Edward immediately laid into Jax about him buying stock from both AJ and Tracy. Edward informed Jax that he can play dirty too and excused himself. After Edward left Chloe did not put this issue to rest. She continued to try and convince Jax to give up this venture but to no avail. Jax said that Chloe needed to learn how to keep her personal and business life separate like he does. Chloe said she could not compartmentalize her life in this fashion. All of a sudden Chloe was struck by a tremendous headache. Jax led her to the sofa and told her to get some rest because he had calls to make. As Chloe slept, Jax contemplated his next move. Chloe had yet another nightmare, this one with more sinister overtones. As if through her vision, we saw a wall with many diplomas, a desk, a chair and then the dead body of Dr. Gladstone, the physician who examined Lucky!

At L&B, Chloe and Alexis chatted about the trip to Russia and discussed Alexis’ misgivings about Eddie Maine. Alexis finally agreed to remember that it is a temporary situation, and that Eddie isn’t real. Chloe exited to do some work in her studio as Ned came in, and he and Alexis discussed his case of cold feet, ultimately deciding to go through with the concert.
