Eve encounters a man chopping wood in the middle of the forest. Introducing himself as Michael, the stranger offers to help Eve find her way back to the Johnson cabin but she nervously insists she'll be fine on her own.

After walking in circles for more than an hour, Eve finally reaches the cabin and discovers Michael waiting for her there. Michael reassures Eve that he was only waiting to make sure she got back to the cabin in one piece. Noting several nasty lacerations on her new acquaintance's arm, Eve invites Michael in so she can treat his wounds. Eve packed her things and was prepared to leave when she encountered Michael outside of the cabin. He had brought her some fresh fruits and vegetables in gratitude for her tending to his wounds. Eve decided to make a meal of his gift and invited him inside to share some of the food he brought over. When she attempts to learn more about her guest, however, Michael shyly avoids answering any personal questions and simply wishes her a safe journey home.

After trailing Michael through the woods, Eve finds him sitting in an abandoned church and wearing the collar of a priest. Eve sheepishly admits to Michael that she thought he was flirting with her back at the cabin. Explaining how he's been fixing up the old monastery as part of a vow he made to God, Michael asks Eve why she's on the run. Following a long nap, Eve confides to Michael that she gets easily exhausted because she's pregnant. Glad to have a sympathetic ear in Michael, Eve explains why her lover doesn't know she's carrying his child.

At the cabin, Eve confides to Michael why she turned down Chris' marriage proposal and how terribly she misses the father of her unborn child. Michael advises Eve to use her talent and skills to do good works where she's needed most. Eve decides to make a fresh start for herself and her baby. Though Eve was prepared to leave for a new adventure, she went back to the monastery and confessed to Michael that she had no clue how to start. She asked him if she could stay and help him with the restoration until she figured something out. Michael surprised her with his adamant refusal. He wouldn't give her good reasons for his denial though and Eve eventually got him to agree to let her stay for a few days. Alone, Michael prayed for Eve's safety and asked that nothing bad be allowed to touch her.

As Eve waited for Michael in the monastary, cold air filled the room and Eve relit the candles when they blew out. She tried to get into another room thinking that Michael was inside, but the door was locked. She nearly jumped out of her skin when the door opened and Michael came out. He told her that he hadn't heard her calling and wouldn't let her see inside the room. He brought out a cradle that he had carved for her baby and told her that it would keep the baby safe in their travels. Eve didn't think she needed any protection, but Michael maintained that there was a lot of evil in the world and it didn't hurt to have a little extra help. Eve agreed, but wondered about his strange attitude.

Eve thanks Michael again for the beautiful hand-carved cradle he made. Showing Eve some research he did on a poor rural community deep in the Appalachian mountains, Michael suggests that his new acquaintance could be the answer to a prayer for

the people of the isolated hamlet. Michael wishes his visitor godspeed and Ian departs just as Eve finishes her packing. Eve confides to Michael how certain she was that she and her baby's father were destined to be together forever. Shaken to learn that his brother has been roaming free, Michael reminds his sneering sibling that he must stay put for his own good. Ian thanks Michael for helping Eve in her hour of need. Back at the chapel, Eve can't resist sneaking a peek behind the door Michael always kept locked.

(we first see Caleb at :47 mins) At the chapel, Ian locates Eve just before the shadowy figure creeps up behind her. Michael discovers the chapel trashed and his identical twin missing. Eve and Ian stopped by the monastery to say a final good-bye to Michael and were shocked to see all of the destruction that had been done to the chapel. They could not believe why anyone would do such a thing and were even more stunned when Michael told them that it was his twin brother who had done the damage. When Eve asked Michael if he had notified the police he was very quick to tell them that the police could not be involved.

After Michael explains to Ian why his violent brother is a danger to himself and others, Eve admits that she must have accidentally let Caleb out of the basement without even knowing he was there. Michael tells Eve and Ian he locked Caleb up to prevent him from destroying the monastery. Though his visitors suggest contacting the authorities, Michael insists that the police cannot be called in. Disclosing that he became a priest because of Caleb, Michael reveals that the bond he shares with his twin has made him feel responsible for his brother's actions.

(We first see Livvie at :57 mins.) Livvie mourns for Jack to a montage of scenes (she thinks Jack is dead). She tells Allison that she feels is being watched ever since Jack died. Livvie had tried to attack Zach (the guy she thougth killed Jack), he grabbed her and started kissing her. Screaming and crying she managed to cut his face with the knife. Caleb makes a noise which distracts the guy and Livvie gets away. Zach turned around and sees Caleb staring at him. When he asked who he was Caleb told him that they has business to take care of. Zach told him that if it was about the diamonds he didn't have them. Caleb told him that he had interest in something more precious than diamonds, and he was about to become Zach's worst nightmare. He questioned the blood on Zach's hands and face. He then told him that it was not nice to mistreat women, a certain women, pushed him up against the wall and grabbed him by the throat.

Livvie ran to safety, fell to the ground and cries over Jack. She feels a presence and turns around and finds Caleb. She wants to know why he is following her. He tells her that he is her future. He introduces himself as Caleb, and says she is Olivia. He declares that is the most beautiful name he knows, and that he can't take his eyes off of her. He states that she has felt his presence as she has felt his. He knows her soul and feels her heart beating and his heart beats to her rythm. He tells her that she has lost something precious and now she needs someone to take of her, to protect her. She says she doesn't understand, she seems drawn to him, but pulls away and says that she can't stay that she really shouldn't be talking to a stranger. She asks him to stop looking at her that way, why is he here? He says he wants to save her, to make her complete again and make that emptiness that she feels inside disappear forever. He comments that happiness has always alluded her, just out of reach. She says she has tried so hard, he tells her that she doesn't have to try anymore. He leans into kiss her, she seems completely in his spell until she hears Jamal and Allison calling her. She turns towards the sound of their voices and ask they appear, she turns around and Caleb is gone.

Livvie tells them about the guy that has been following her. Jamal looks around but doesn't find Caleb. They tell her that they want to tell the police about how Jack really died and how they buried him. Michael arrives back in the basement. He gets out a protrait of Olivia. He declares, "Soon, I will have my Olivia back. I have so many plans for you Olivia, for us." Michael tells Caleb that he can't go, that he will stay there with Michael but Caleb declares this time he won't be stopped. Caleb locks Michael in the basement. As Livvie is grieving for Jack, he appears out of the mists. She is frightened and thinks that she is losing her mind. He tells her there is something wrong with him, that he feels really sick and begs her for help. Jack stands outside watching Livvie, and Caleb comes around the corner and seems surprised to see Jack. He says to himself, "I'm surprised you made it back so fast."

Gaby ran into Caleb. He said hello to her and, staring hard at him, she asked him if she knew him. He replied that she would soon know him very well (Caleb turns Gabby into a vampire though we don't see this on screen). He later watches from the doorway as she begins her burlesque routine at the Nurse's Ball. She starts off sedately, rather nervously, then the vamp takes over and she begins a very seductive strip tease to the shock of the audience. Joe runs up on stage and covers her up and carries her off before she completely bares all. Caleb grins as he watches the show. Next up, Allison, Jamal, and Livvie perform "Love Potion #9".

Caleb finds Livvie outside of the bike shop. He observes that Jack is not the man she fell in love with, that he is different. She wonders who he knows this and justifies that Jack had been through a terribly accident. She insists that she is in love with Jack. He tells her that Jack doesn't deserve her, that she deserves the world. He asks her to come see his world, a world where her every desire will be fullfilled. He holds out his hand, and asks her to come with him. He tells her she is not afraid of him, she allows him to take her hand and walks off with him. Caleb takes Livvie to his cave, she asks, "Where are we?" He tells her that she is home, as she sees a beautiful candlelit room. He tells her this is a place where nothing else matters, a place she belongs, a place where dreams come true. He promises to take care of all of her needs, all of her desires, that he wants her to be happy. He tells her he will never force her to stay, that he wants her to choose to stay, that he wants to be her protector. He says she has never felt this kind of desire, where every touch is like coming home. He urges her not to be afraid of it. She says she is not afraid of him. He tells her it was his kiss she felt when she woke up. That she has been waiting for him her whole life, that she will never want for anything with him, that she will never be afraid, and she will never be alone because he will always be with her. He pulls her into his arms, and twirls her around, dancing together, he kisses her. She responds, then pulls away and says no that she loves Jack. She runs out.

Caleb stands in the sun with sunglasses, he urges himself to be patient that it is all knew for Olivia as she tries to deny her feelings for him. As she laid next to Jack on her couch, Livvie dreamt that she was lying there on the couch as she was with Jack, but it was Caleb next to she instead of Jack. She woke up screaming and saw Caleb standing in her doorway. She screamed for Jack and when she looked up again, the door was shut and Caleb was gone. Jack asked her to tell her about her nightmare and how she was sure the man in her dream was standing in the opened doorway staring at her when she woke up. It was something about the way he looked her in the eye that scared her. To assure her that no one was there, Jack opened the door and looked out in the empty hallway. After closing the door again. Caleb reappeared in the hall by her door and whispered to herself that he was really there, not a dream or hallucination, and he would be there until she was his.

Ian and Eve free Michael from his basement prison. After Michael explains how his brother locked him in, Eve places an urgent call to the local police. Michael refuses to press charges against his twin and orders Ian and Eve to leave him and Caleb alone. Ian and Eve return to the chapel to ask Michael if he would perform their wedding ceremony. To their surprise, however, the priest regretfully declines. He tells them that he cannot marry them because of his troubled twin. Michael admits to Ian and Eve that he can't leave the chapel until he's helped his brother get rid of his demons. The couple later decide to get married there that very night, Michael agrees to marry them.

Livvie has fallen and hit her head, Caleb comes upon them. Caleb tells Jack that he is a vampire as he shows Jack his fangs. Caleb tells him that Livvie is his destiny and will be his bride. Jack tells him to stay away from her or he will kill Caleb. Caleb tells Jack about turning him, to flashbacks of Caleb biting him. They show Caleb attacking Jack in the woods and sucking the blood from him. Caleb welcomes him to the family and reminds him the blood transfusion that he had and how he felt more alive after receiving it. Caleb tells Jack that he made him a vampire but Jack is understandably suspicious. Caleb tells Jack that he doesn't like the term killing but instead calls it "harvesting" to satisfy his hunger. He also tells him that his first kill will make his transformation complete. He tells Jack that he will have to feast when the hunger overcomes him, that he won't truly become a vampire until he has had his first kill. Jack thinks he is crazy. Caleb shows his powers by disappearing right before Jack's eyes. Jack demands to know what Caleb wants? Caleb wants him to join him. Caleb tells him that Jack can have anything he wants. Jack wants Livvie. Caleb says you can have anything but her, that you can either forget about Olivia or die. Livvie comes upon them, Caleb disappears before Livvie sees him.

At Gabby's, the candles are lit for a romantic evening. She remembers vividly her first encounter through a flashback. Then he arrives at her front door and introduces himself. He takes her in his arms and once again sinks his teeth into her neck. Caleb returned to the monastery and flipped out when he saw that Olivia's wedding dress was gone. Michael explained that he had let Eve wear it when she married Ian. Caleb warned Michael that he would destroy Eve if he didn't have the dress back immediately. Caleb tells him that dress meant everything to him and that it is ruined. Caleb tells him he is off to kiss the bride. Michael tells him that he won't let him hurt Eve that if pushed far enough he will do anything it takes to protect Eve. Michael knows Caleb secret and can destory him. Caleb gives him an ultimate, he will give Michael two hours and if the dress isn't back by dawn then "all hell will break loose". Michael hurried to the cabin and reluctantly asked Eve for the dress. He told them about the history of the dress had special meaning for Caleb and Eve gave it back. He tells them that the dress is the only thing Caleb has left of the woman he loved. Lucy is reading her Tarot cards and gets a card, "The Stranger". She looks at it curiously, then Caleb shows up at her door. He tells her he is lost and asks if he can come inside and look at a map or use her phone. She says no and recommends the gas station down the street. She quickly shuts the door. Unable to get past Lucy, Caleb returned to Gaby for help in getting to Livvie. Caleb angrily warned Gaby not to continue to tell people about him. She told him that she was just telling Frank and Karen how special he made her feel. Caleb then began to charm Gaby and told her how bad he wanted to be with Livvie, and that she was going to help him.

Caleb tells Michael that Olivia will come to him and they will be a family. He goes onto say that he will then take Eve's baby after it is born. Livvie is drawn back to Caleb's lair. Livvie enters the cave and finds Caleb waiting for her. She wonders how he knew she was coming there. He says he knows her, he knows every beat of her heart. She says she kept thinking about him, and just found herself coming there even though everyone warned her to stay away from him. He says she wants him as much as he wants her. She disagrees and says she is very much in love with Jack and is very happy with him. She tells him that Gabby told her about a man she met, that sounded very much like him. She wants to know if he is seducing women all over Port Charles. He inquires if she is jealous and tells her there is no one but her. She says the way he talks to her, the way he looks at her its like she has known him forever. He tells her that all she has to do is say the word and he will give her the world. He points out that she is there with him, not with Jack. She admits she didn't tell Jack that she was coming to see Caleb. He says it is Caleb's face in her dreams, that she only loves Jack with a school girl's feelings but she loves him with a woman's passion. He reaches out and puts his hands on the side of her face and urges her to let go as he slowly, seductively kisses her neck. He softly urges her to forget about everything else, forget about what everyone says, to forget about Jack. She pulls away and says no, this isn't right. He reassures her that he won't force her, that he wants her to come to him willingly, without the thought of any other man. He wants her completely body and soul, a complete surrender. She says he is asking too much of her. He says it is just not time yet, that she isn't ready but he is willing to wait till the time is right as he knows it will come.

Michael and Caleb talk more about Caleb's plan for a wedding and to create a family with Eve's baby. Michael reminds Caleb that Olivia didn't show up for their wedding as Caleb killed her! Michael says that before Livvie, that Caleb had found some peace. Caleb says no that he was just waiting, he says he is the last of their family. Michael says not that the family has die with him and he won't let Caleb take Eve's baby. Caleb realizes that Michael has feelings for Eve. Michael goes to Port Charles and finds Eve. She happily tells him she is having a boy. She invites Michael to stay with her, and he agrees to stay with her for just a few days. He promises himself that he will keep her and her baby safe. Ian set a romantic candlelight dinner for Eve, but his mood was quickly spoiled when she came home, and Michael was with her. He was even more surprised to hear that he would be staying with them for a few days. Alone in his room, Michael looked around, locked the door and then pulled out a necklace. Holding it up, he whispered to himself that it was over for Caleb, and that the necklace would keep Eve and her baby safe. Eve was flattered when Michael gave her the necklace, but Ian was a little more skeptical. He asked Michael what that necklace represented and Eve quickly told him that it was his family's crest. Michael then told them that he gave it to Eve as a good luck charm too keep her and the baby safe from any dangers. Ian then asked Michael if Eve was in danger of his brother; Michael hesitated and then told him no. The necklace has special powers to protect against vampires.

Jack arrives at Michael's church, Caleb seems amused to find him there. Jack is surprised that Caleb is in church. Caleb debunks all of the vampire myths about not being able to go into church, or eat garlic, or be out in the sunlight. Jack observes that Caleb can't kill in the presence of love and that is why he didn't kill Jack last time as Livvie was there and he couldn't. Caleb agrees but smugly points out that LIvvie isn't there now is she? He throws Jack up against a wall and shows his fangs. They fight and Caleb is killing Jack until Livvie calls Jack's name. Caleb suddenly disappears.

Caleb returns to Gaby's place and hisses at her to swear that she hasn't betrayed him. Gaby is startled to realize that the priest she encountered at General Hospital was Caleb's identical twin. Recalling how she caught Jamal stealing from the blood bank, Gaby tells Caleb she's certain Jack's friend has been helping him grow stronger. Later, Caleb orders Gaby to lure Jamal into the vampire's web, he wants to turn him so that he can control him. After giving Jamal the bum's rush, Gaby faces a disapproving Caleb. Gaby swears to Caleb that she'll do better next time. Caleb and Gaby share a snack.

Michael had gone to tell Caleb that he would not be able to harm Eve or the baby, and had even moved it with them to be sure of their safety. Caleb told Michael that he would not stand in that way of him finally having a family. Caleb went on to taunt Michael about how he was really lusting after Eve and if they worked together, he could have the baby, and Michael could have Eve. Furious to hear Caleb say this, Michael lunged at him, but after their scuffle, Michael was lying unconscious in the alley.

Caleb goes to Eve's, and asks her to invite him in. He says he is looking for his brother. He says he would like to be her friend, he then stares at her stomach which creeps her out and she quickly shuts the door. Then a bit later she looks out to see if he is gone and steps outside of her apartment. She finds him still lurking there. He tells her he isn't the monster that his brother makes him out to be. He grabs her, and she says "Let go of me!" and pulls away. He flinches as he feels the power of the necklace, and says that Michael gave it to her. Caleb says to himself he will still figure out a way even though Eve is wearing the family crest necklace to protect her. Eve finds Michael, and tells him that Caleb was there earlier. He is worried that she asked him in and she says no but he scared her with the way he talked about the baby. He tells her she doesn't have to worry that he won't let Caleb hurt her. He pulls her into his arms in a comforting embrace. Ian comes home to find Eve in Michael's arms. Caleb takes Livvie to the villa. When she wakes up, he tells her that she is home. She asks how he got there and he tells her she fainted. He tells her he planned the villa with her mind, the things that she might like. She says that it is amazing. He urges her to let go of the past, to let go of the future, to just leave in the now and experience all that feels good as he softly strokes her. He realizes she still isn't sure, he says that her heart is a precious thing and shouldn't be given away freely. He wants her to get to know him as he gets to know her, he wants her to stay with him for a week. She worries about her family and Jack. He says they need to know they can't control her. He asks her to give him one week so he can show her the possibilities and urges her that she has everything to gain and nothing to lose. He says if she gives him that much, seven days and seven nights that she will know what it is like to be loved. She almost gives in but says no, how can he ask her to do this when he knows she loves Jack. He gets angry and grabs her and says he doesn't want to hear anymore about Jack. She cries that he is hurting her. He immediately lets go and says he is sorry, but he has so much to offer her. He tells her that he has had the dream of her for so long that the thought of it not coming true is almost too much to bear. He asks her to forgive him if sometimes his emotions get the best of him. He says these people she cares so much about have disapointed her time and again. He says he knows how hard it is to turn away from all of the things she has believed in, but if she takes that leap of faith she will experience the impossible. She is torn, he begs her to tell him what will make her the most happy, what does she want more than anything else? She says it doesn't matter that he can't do it, can't make it come true, that no one can. He asks her again for a week and kisses her.

She tells Caleb that he isn't the first man to make her promises. He asks her to imagine something she never thought could be and then asks her to open her eyes. She sees Rachel, her mother standing in front of her (her mother has been in a non-responsive coma). Livvie runs into her mother's arms, crying how much she missed her. Rachel tells her it is because Caleb knew how much Livvie wanted this and Caleb brought her to Livvie. Livvie wants to know how long she can stay, that so many people out there want Rachel punished. Rachel assures her that she is fine as long as she is there, that Caleb will insure that no one can find her. Rachel tells her she is completely cured and things can go back to the way they used to be. Livvie declares that Caleb knew exactly what Livvie wanted and needed. They have a wonderful reunion, Livvie wants her mother back for good. Rachel says she can't stay but promises that she will be back soon and she will stay forever. Rachel tells her that if Livvie wants it bad enough that they will be together forever, thanks to Caleb. They say their goodbyes. After Rachel leaves, Caleb enters and Livvie thanks him for giving back her mother. She tells him that all of the questions, all of the doubts she had are gone. She agrees to stay for a week, that she trusts him with all of her heart. He tells her that she has made him so happy. He tells her he is going to share something else with her, something very rare, and begins kissing her neck.

He tells her again that he can grant her every wish, that all she has to do is ask. When she comments on his magical powers, he says she is the magic as she opened his heart again. She asks him to tell her what closed his heart. He tells her about Olivia and that since her death he has lived his life without feeling until he saw her and his heart began beating again and he knew he wanted to live forever (he left out the part about how he killed Olivia). She tells him that he is gentle and giving, that he has been hurt and is afraid of being hurt again. He asks her to call her family and tell them that she is not being held against her will. He asks her to call them and make them understand. Livvie calls Kevin and tells him that she is having a really wonderful time with Caleb, that she is there because she wants to be there. Kevin is angry and tries to warn her that Caleb is dangerous. When she asks to talk to Jack, he takes the phone from her and assures Kevin that he won't hurt Livvie.

After he hangs up, she says she wasn't finished yet (meaning she wanted to talk to Jack). He points out that now her family is reassured and Kevin will tell everyone not to worry. Caleb says now she can concentrate on her, he takes her hand. She walks through a room swirling in veils, and filled with candlelit. He comes to her and tells her that she is ready to turn her heart over to him, to let her heart beat in time with his, that only then can she truly see him and that it is time. He says she is finally ready to give up everything for him. He aks her to tell him that she wants him. She says, "I do". He has disappeared, she asks where is he and why does he run away from her. She hears his voice saying sometimes you have to wait, she says she doesn't want to wait anymore that she wants to know him, all of him. He appears behind her and they embrace and he begins kissing her. He says this is it, the perfect moment that he told her would happen when the two of them become one and know each other's deepest secrets, deepest desires. As he kisses her, she begs for more. He tells her to see the real him, and he shows her his fangs.

He asks her if she still wants him now that she knows who he really is. She says yes, she wants him to make her his. She wants to feel his fangs in her flesh. He flashes back to killing Olivia, screaming why as she died. He tells Livvie they have to wait and she says no, the time is now. She wants to know what he is waiting for, she wants to step into that world for him, to have him drink her blood, has he changed his mind? He assures her that no he hasn't but he has to tell her something important, that in order for her to be truly his there can be no secrets between them. He tells Livvie about the day Olvia died (at the same time Jack is reading about it in Caleb's diary), that when he showed her his fangs that she pushed him away and never wanted to see him again. He couldn't bear it. He went back later, and only meant to show her how extraordinary it could be. She pushed him away again, and he lost control and killed her. Livvie thanks him for trusting her enough to tell her everything. He seems surprised that she isn't afraid of him. She tells him she knows exactly what he is and it doesn't matter, she wants the life he has shown her and she can't imagine her life without him. He asks her to marry him.

Livvie is dreaming that her and Caleb are married, then Caleb blind folds her and begins kissing her neck. She asks him to drink her blood. As he removes the blindfold it is Jack kissing her not Caleb. Meanwhile, Jack finds Olivia's picture and realizes how much Livvie looks like her. Michael enters the basement, and Jack things he is Caleb and demands to know where Livvie is. He begins strangling Michael demanding to know where she is. Ian, Eve, Lucy, and Kevin all burst in and stop Jack and tell him that Michael is Caleb's twin.

Michael tells them about Olivia and her death. Jack tells them that Caleb wants Livvie to take Olivia's place. Eve realizes Caleb also wants her baby. Michael confirms this and that is why he gave her the necklace to protect her. He tells Kevin he is sorry, he thought that Caleb had found someone to take Olivia's place but didn't know who it was. They are angry that Michael didn't tell them about Caleb. He told them there was no point as they couldn't stop Caleb and they would have died trying, that Michael is the only one who can. He swears he will not let Caleb hurt Eve or take her baby and he will die trying. Michael is in the church praying, and realizes that he has fallen in love with another man's wife. Eve has listened in and overhears his declaration to god.

Livvie finds a love note from Caleb and a red rose. She says to herself that she has to say goodbye to Jack. She sits down and writes him a goodbye letter telling him that while she will always love him that her future is with Caleb. By the end of the letter, she is saying again how she loves Jack and always will but seems more lucid. Caleb comes in and as he touches her she gets the dazed look in her eyes. He points to the letter and asks what it is? She can't remember, she just recalls sitting down, and suddenly it is just a blank piece of paper. He asks what she has been doing to keep busy, and she says thinking of you?

It is their wedding day, and Livvie finds a beautiful dress. She shyly tells him that he isn't supposed to see his bride before the wedding. He kids her that she doesn't believe in bad luck and leans in to kiss her. He tells her he wants to make everything perfect for her, and she says there is only one thing missing. He tells her that anything is possible and he leaves to make her dreams come true. Her mother then appears and she tells Livvie that she can't get married without her. She tells her mother that sometimes she feels so pulled towards Caleb, that it is almost as though she doesn't have a choice. She asks her mother if marrying Caleb is the right thing? Rachel assures that yes it is, that Jack can't give her what Caleb can, that Caleb is every woman's dream (this as Caleb listens at the door). Rachel tells her not to doubt her decision, that the little voice inside of Livvie knows the truth. Outside the door, Caleb says that once they are married there is no going back for all of time.

Caleb appears in front of Michael. Michael wants to know what has become of the girl he has taken and asks if he has turned her yet? Caleb says no, he hasn't. Michael tells him about Livvie's family finding the shrine to Olivia. Caleb is furious and vows to kill them all for having disturbed Olivia's remains. Michael says that he has given her a proper burial, Caleb says that wasn't his place to do. Caleb asks Michael to be his best man. Michael begs for Caleb to let Livvie go, that she can't replace Olivia. Caleb tells him about Livvie's mother being with her. Michael knows that Rachel is institutionalized and says how can he deceive Livvie like that to believe her mother is with her. Caleb says that it makes Livvie happy. Livvie is ready for her wedding, in a beautiful dress and veil and her mother assures her she will be happy. Michael tells Caleb that there is a love out there stronger than his. Caleb isn't worried as Livvie can barely remember Jack's name. Caleb declares that Livvie will die that night and then be reborn. Rachel gives Livvie a gift from Caleb, it is a beautiful pearl necklace. Her mother puts the necklace on her and fixes her veil.

Caleb is dressed for the wedding as he talks to an off screen character about how he is so please he could make it. We then see Abe dressed for the occasion as he states that with all the weddings he's presided over this will be the best. Rachel and Livvie make their way to the balcony and Rachel and Abe leave. Caleb is continuing to sweet talk Livvie of the benefits of the afterlife. He tells her that to be his wife she must become as he is and leave her world and enter his, cross over to the other side. He makes her look into his eyes and tells her that unless she is honestly willing, this can't happen. He asks her if she understands and she replies "I must die". Caleb continues talking with Livvie and brings up the child he has picked out for them and tells her about how wonderful Livvie's rebirth will be. Livvie begs him to turn her and he reiterates that she will have to leave the mortal life and everything in it. He continues that their child will join them soon. Livvie replies that she wants to spend eternity with him. The ceremony has already started and as Abe questions "If there is anyone who knows why they shouldn't be married, speak now or forever hold your peace" Jack breaks through the door screaming for Livvie.

Caleb tries to get Livvie to upstairs, Livvie asks why? Jack tells her it is because Caleb can kill Jack in front of her. She asks Caleb to leave her alone with Jack so she can talk to him. Caleb looked deep into Livvie's eyes and she is transformed into believing him once again. Jack tells Caleb that he isn't going anywhere without Livvie. He grabs Jack by the throat and throws him against the wall. Caleb mesmerizes Livvie again, Jack begs her not to give into Caleb. Caleb intends on marrying her in front of Jack. She asks Caleb to let Jack go, but he says that he will be good for Jack to see them together.

Just then Kevin and Lucy burst in. Jack picks up Livvie and runs off with her as Kevin distracts him. An irate Caleb tells Kevin that he just messed with the wrong vampire. Kevin and Caleb argued at length about Livvie. Kevin told Caleb he would never marry his daughter, Caleb doesn't know what love is but Jack does. Kevin swears it won't happen but Caleb tells him it will. Kevin was not afraid of death but Caleb said he'd turn him and then Kevin would bring Livvie to Caleb himself. Lucy arrived just as Caleb approached Kevin but, when she touched Caleb, he stopped and acted frightened. She and Kevin ran.

Eve told Michael that she knew he could stop Caleb, and when he told her that he couldn't do anything this time she then told him how she had overheard his prayer confessing that he had fallen in love with her. He first denied it, telling her that he loved her as a friend. Eve told Michael that she could not get Caleb's threats out of her mind, and that he had to help her protect her baby. As she began to cry, he hesitated, but then hugged her to try to comfort her. Michael then apologized to Eve and confessed to her that her was in love with her. He looked up to see Ian standing in the doorway of the chapel. Eve and Michael are surprised when Ian fails to become upset upon hearing Michael confess his love for Eve. What Ian does do is lay into the priest for his inability to keep his brother under control. As Ian skirts the issue, Michael realizes that he wants him to end this threat to Eve and their baby by killing Caleb.

Lucy uses a laptop to continue to trace the Coe family back to Eastern Europe. She was then astonished when she found that her great, great, great grandmother was from Transylvania. Caleb, laughing at Michael's threats of death, questions Michael if he has come to beg for Eve and her baby again. Caleb tells him to turn and leave. Michael questions why Caleb is hiding in the basement of the church. Did the wedding not take place? Caleb states there was a minor setback but all will be his eventually. Michael senses something is wrong and questions Caleb as to what or who has frightened him. he has seen him this way before and knows he has been weakened. Michael tells Caleb that he knows Caleb has seen the future and that the end is near. Caleb laughs Michael off and asks him if he promised Eve he would kill him for her. Caleb reminds Michael that he can't actually get rid of him (Caleb). Michael informs Caleb that his reign of terror is over and to prepare to fight. Caleb laughs and agrees with Michael, one of them will not survive.

Eve looks up to find a messy Michael standing beside her bed. Michael looks at Eve and tells her that he chose between her and his brother he has killed Caleb. Michael was devastated over killing Caleb but Ian needed proof. Ian told Michael they would all go on with their lives, with his preferably far away and Michael agreed. Livvie mistook Michael for Caleb and Michael told her Caleb was dead. Livvie refused to believe them even when Eve told her about her baby. Livvie collapsed with grief. Jack tried to comfort Livvie, but she refused to listen to him. After she went upstairs, Jack asked Michael for help. Michael told Jack about Caleb's struggles after Olivia's death, and how he tried hard to control his urges for a long time. He even agreed to live in confinement with Michael at the Monastery until the night he escaped and saw Livvie in the woods. He could no longer control his vampire urges. This confirmed Jack's fear that Livvie would always be in danger if he was around. Jack then asked Michael to watch over Livvie and keep her safe.

As Livvie slept, she had a vision of Caleb. He told her that Michael had killed him, and that Michael would kill her next and then he would kill Jack. Livvie woke up screaming and found Michael at her bedside. Frightened, she asked him if he was going to kill her, and he replied that he was only going to kill the part of Caleb that was still with her. Michael tells Livvie he is not there to hurt her. Livvie responds that Michael will never get her to hate Caleb. She refuses to listen to the man that killed him. Michael grabs her and tells her she must listen to the truth, that she doesn't know Caleb. She goes on to say that he promised her a wonderful life, at which point Michael joins in and repeats all that Caleb said to her. She looks at Michael in surprise as he continues. All that Caleb promised her, he says, was the exact same things he promised to Olivia. Caleb never really loved her, she was just there to replace the void of someone she resembled, to right the wrong of killing his love. Michael goes on, explaining that Caleb just wanted to destroy her life and urges Livvie to forget everything Caleb had said to her. Michael also insists that Livvie is better off without Caleb in her life. Michael feels he has accomplished his task and leave. After he does, Jack enters.

Livvie, leaving the woods, hears a noise, and calls out for Jack. As she turns, she finds a weakened Caleb stumbling through the bushes. He collapses at her feet. He asks why he should be cursed for loving her, for wanting to be with her for all eternity. He tells her she knows what he needs, what will give him life. He asks her to let him in, to let him love her, to make him strong again, to save him.

As the show concludes, the song "Tainted Love" plays and viewers are shown clips of what is taking place with everyone at that exact moment in time. Karen, Frank, Ian and Eve are celebrating as Ian and Eve hold Eve's belly, grateful that their ordeal is finally over. Rafe comes up behind Lucy, and puts his hand over her mouth and pulls her away with him. Alison comforts a dying Jack. Livvie gives in to Caleb and exposes her neck to him. Caleb flashes his fangs and bites into Livvie's flesh. As he does, Jack screams. Caleb tells her it is all waiting for them, a lifetime full of magic and power, that this is their moment and no one can ever take it away from them. He takes her back to the villa, and suddenly she is back in her wedding dress. She doesn't understand, she thought Michael killed him? She tells him she was lost when she thought he was gone. Caleb and Livvie became one as he slips a wedding band on her finger and they made love. Livvie said she would be Caleb's forever. He tells her it is time for them to finish what they started, for them to embrace their destiny, bound together through the ages, a love beyond death itself, that they are one. She declares she is always and forever his, they make love to a music montage of scenes. Meanwhile, Rafe tells a rather shocked Lucy that she is a vampire slayer and they will kill the vampires. Caleb carries Livvie to the river. He tells her to cross over and find her way back to him. He lays her down He said that if their love was real she would find her way back to him, and leaves her there. When she wakes she makes her way to the cave. She flashes back to highlights of Caleb's seduction of her, calling her back to him, thinking of Caleb and all that he promised her. She woke up in the villa where Caleb was standing over her. He caressed her and told her that they were one now and had a bond that could never be broken. She replied that she would do whatever he said.

Jack willed himself to Caleb's villa and was sad to see Livvie there with him. Caleb prepared to fight, but Jack told him that's not what he came for; He had come to tell Caleb that he had won the fight for Livvie. Jack tells Caleb that he has won. Caleb knows this and wants to know what is really behind Jacks admission of defeat. Jack says that Caleb wanted him to be a vampire and that is why he is there; it is more torture never seeing Livvie again then it would be to be a vampire. Livvie doesn't care anymore why Jack has come to them she just wants him to leave. Caleb tells her Jack has a "master plan." Jack tells Caleb he has no underlying plan. He knows he can't fight Caleb and he wanted him to turn anyway. Caleb skeptical of Jack asks him why he wants to be with Livvie when she is now married to Caleb. Upset with the news, Jack just looks on in disbelief and Caleb confirms what he said. They are married in all aspects. Jack says that he figures the only way to be near Livvie, since he can't have her, is to serve Caleb. Caleb tells Jack he must be tested and his first test is to watch Caleb as he makes love to Livvie. Livvie tells Caleb she doesn't want to make love in front of Jack. That what they, she and Caleb have, is special and she doesn't want to share it with anyone, not even Jack. Caleb feels she is still trying to protect Jack. She warns Caleb that the more Jack sees their love, the more determined he will be to get her away from him. Caleb tells Jack that for Livvie to finish crossing over she needs to make her first kill. Caleb knows that if Jack makes his first kill and crosses over he will continue to get stronger and eventually take on Caleb. So as not to have this problem, he informs Jack the Livvie will make Jack her first kill.

Livvie tells herself she can do this but looks to Jack and whispers to him "go". Jack, standing firm, offers Livvie his throat as she approaches. Caleb demands that she do it now, she gets to Jack and then backs off saying she can't do it. Caleb infuriated with Livvie yells at her she must obey him, he trusted her. Livvie says she would do anything but this. She doesn't understand why, she chose Caleb to be with and that's all that matters. Caleb screams, "You swore you would never betray me, you lied." and he disappears. Livvie calls for him to come back. Livvie is angry with Jack for coming and ruining everything. As she cries for Caleb she asks Jack why he couldn't stay away. Jack is the reason for Caleb leaving. Jack tells her he didn't leave because of him; he left because of her love for Jack.

Eve walks in on a praying Michael and goes to see if he is all right. Michael jumps to his feet startled. Eve wonders what is wrong. Michael insists that Eve leave immediately. Eve asks why she can't stay, is it because of his feelings for her. Michael tells her it's because he can't have feelings for her, he's a priest and has devoted himself to God, but because of his thoughts and feelings for her he has begun to question his calling in life. Eve tells him he should never doubt, he has done wonderful things to help her and the baby. She is glad that he is in her life and that they were both wrong and misunderstood each other. She lets him know that she feels partially to blame for the tension between them. The love she has for Michael isn't the same as for Ian, she fell in love with the goodness in Michael and the person he is. Michael tells her not to blame herself, she should have been able to come to him for help without him misunderstanding her intentions and falling in love with her.

Michael thanks Eve for opening her heart to him. It means everything; no one has ever felt that way about him before. Eve tells him because he devoted his life to protect Caleb he never had the chance for that. Michael insists now that Eve leave, she afraid to leave him alone but he replies "I'm never really alone". Eve assumes he is referring to God. They promise to keep in touch and say their goodbyes. Michael feeling a presence turns to find Caleb. He thought Caleb had been destroyed, but Caleb tells him he was only weakened never destroyed and that Eve has really twisted his mind if he couldn't tell the difference. Tired of hearing Michael whine about Eve Caleb taunts him that he will never posses her. Eve may not be "in" love with Michael but she does see him and love him for the person he is. Caleb conjures up illusions and lies and then makes them fit into his own world. Caleb has never been really loved, not like the love Jack has for Livvie or Eve has for Michael.

Michael taunts Caleb saying that he will never have Livvie because she loves Jack. But Caleb yells that she 'will' be back. Michael laughs which infuriates Caleb and he grabs Michael by the throat. Caleb tells Michael it must be hard knowing he will never have Eve, that the only way he will ever have her is to become like him. Michael tells him that knowing Eve sees the good in him is enough. Caleb backs off. They are arguing when Eve walks back in and overhears the yelling. She walks into the room where they are arguing only to have Michael yell at her to leave immediately, Caleb is there. Worried and frightened, she looks around and asks, "Where is he?" Michael, turning around, says "Right here, Eve. How could you miss me?" Michael has become Caleb. (not shown, Rafe helps the gang get access to the Morley Family Tree. They begin to look up Caleb and Michael. Kevin has found Caleb's name but not Michael's, anywhere. He suddenly realizes that Caleb and Michael are one.)

A grinning Caleb corners Eve and reminds the terrified woman that her child belongs to him. As Eve frantically prays for help, Michael momentarily re-emerges and releases his grip, then begs his frightened friend to run. A shivering Eve watches in horror as Caleb and Michael fall into a violent quarrel. Ian arrives at the burning monastery and manages to pull Eve to safety but Caleb vows to pursue his unborn child to the ends of the earth. A cool wind blows through town, all of the couples stop and stare, feeling his presence, Livvie says, "He's here".

Caleb met Gaby on the roof where she had been calling for him. Instead of going along with the plan, she told him all about the trap the others where trying to set for him. He told her that everyone would soon be sorry. Caleb then began to terrorize the hospital. First he appeared in the room where Livvie and Jack where. He arrogantly taunted them and then told them that no one stands in the way of his destiny, and they where all about to have the longest night of their lives. He disappeared again and reappeared behind Chris. Fully engrossed in his research, Chris blew off Caleb's first comments, thinking he was another doctor. He was terrified when he realized who it really was. Caleb asked him why he was trying so hard to reverse all of his work. He told Chris that instead of doing all of that research, he could get his information first hand. He then bared his fangs and bit him.

Caleb continued his journey stopping next to see Eve. Ian quickly came at him but Caleb hurled him against the wall. Rushing to his side, Eve asked Caleb what he was going to do. Caleb knelt down beside her and touch and stomach. He then asked Eve why she was wearing a hospital gown. She told him that she thought she was in labor, but it was a false alarm. As Caleb spoke, Eve was able to look him straight in the eye and began calling for Michael. He told her that Michael was gone, and backed away from her, but she continued to call out seeing that Caleb was struggling to stay in control. Once he had the upper hand over Michael, he quickly disappeared.

Caleb then cornered Jamal and Alison in the stairwell. He continued his callus taunts and threw Jamal down a flight of stair when he came at him. He then grabbed a terrified Alison and began kissing her. Lucy came through the door of the stairwell and confidently ordered Caleb to let Alison go. He released Alison from his hold and tried to bully Lucy. She didn't back down, which intimidated him, so he quickly disappeared once again. Kevin walked in just as Caleb had left and Lucy triumphantly told him that what had happened, and that it was Caleb's arrogance that drove him, and she was sure that she could defeat him. She then brought her silver bow out from behind her back. Livvie begged Caleb not to harm anyone else, but Caleb told her that just wasn''t possible. He told Livvie that she had betrayed him, and now everyone was going to pay, beginning with her.

Caleb is mad at Livvie telling her she betrayed him. This upsets him greatly and makes him want to destroy everyone and everything. Livvie tells him she was confused and didn't mean to hurt him. Caleb isn't buying it and tells her everyone will pay, especially her. Livvie tries to explain to Caleb that she still does care about him but Caleb says she lied to him the entire time they were together. He gave her everything and all she can say is that she cares for him? Livvie can't explain, she thought she loved him and wanted to spend the rest of her life with him. Caleb wonders where he went wrong, and tries to make her remember them being together. She begins to remember and then remembers her love for Jack and the pain Caleb inflicted upon Jack. She bargains with Caleb with her life, that she will go with him and be the family he wants if he lets everyone else go. Caleb doesn't want her this way, sacrificing her life for her family; he wants her heart and soul, to love him like he loves her. Jack bursts in and tells Caleb Livvie doesn't want him, nobody does.

Livvie tells Jack to leave as Caleb holds Livvie. Jack refuses and tells Caleb to let her go but Caleb refuses telling Jack that she is his wife. Jack tells him that Livvie chose him over Caleb and is pathetic that he has to hold on to a woman this way, against her will. Their love is strong enough for them to survive. Caleb yells that he is in her blood and that Livvie gave herself willingly and continues to taunt Jack of their honeymoon night. This enrages Livvie and she breaks free of Caleb's hold. This gives Jack the opportunity to go after Caleb. He grabs him telling him to shut up about everything and throws Caleb over the hospital roof. As Livvie and Jack try to leave the door to the roof opens and Caleb enters telling them no one leaves.

Caleb pushes Jack away telling him he can't be killed. Livvie begs to Caleb not to hurt Jack anymore. She will go with him but Jack refuses to let her go. Caleb yells that Livvie will do what he wants her to do. He should have killed Jack from the start. Jack tells Caleb nothing will stop their love. Caleb grabs Jack by the throat and starts choking him. Livvie begs one more time for Jacks life. Eve bursts in yelling, "No, Michael will not let you hurt anyone ever again. As Caleb is choking Jack, he is being bombarded by Eve begging Michael to come and Livvie telling Caleb that she will go with him. Kevin tells Caleb it's all over but Caleb informs him the fun is just beginning. Livvie is begging Caleb to stop killing Jack as Kevin holds her back telling her that Eve must get through to Michael. Eve pleads with Michael to remember when they met. Michael starts to come out. She keeps repeating that she believes in Michael, that his heart is pure. Caleb trying to fight Michael releases Jack and falls to the ground. Michael looks to Eve and tells her he would do anything for her. Gaby runs in calling for Caleb. As Eve yells for Michael and Gaby yells for Caleb, Ian runs in to get Gaby out of the way. Lucy shoots the crossbow only to hit Ian.

Michael begs Eve to help him. Gaby continues to yell for Caleb. Jamal grabs Gaby and she passes out, due to a shot of some sedative that Alison stole from downstairs. Eve moves in closer to help Michael only to be grabbed by Caleb. He tells her that Michael is gone and he tries to claim Livvie and Eve's baby. Livvie bargains with Caleb to take her and let the other go, but Caleb doesn't want her that way. He wants her love, unconditionally. Eve yells for Michael to come back and help, remember the love that is there for him. Caleb is confused and lets Eve go. The voices in his head begin to take over, Michael, Eve, Livvie, Kevin himself are all bombarding his mind. Michael comes out and calls to Eve. Lucy gets ready to take another shot as Michael begs for god to help him. He asks for peace and an ending to his torment. With arms stretched out there is a strike of lightening that hits Caleb and he is taken. As they all look on in amazement, they go to each other and comfort one another only to look back to where Caleb was standing to see a pile of dust blow away in the wind.
