On their way back to their hotel from Tower Bridge, Jennifer asked Jonathan if he would take her for a ride on the River Themes ferry. Jonathan asked why. So that you can kiss me like you did for the very first time, Jonathan responded, don’t I always. She said yes, but, this is special and being that we are celebrating our 20th Anniversary that would make it even more special. Jonathan looked at her with love in his eyes, and said "driver, take us to the ferry".
About half way out on the River Themes, Jonathan took Jennifer in his arms and kissed her and said "like this Louise?" Jennifer pulled back from him with a surprise look. He then took her in his arms again, kissed her twice, and then on the neck, and said "Jennifer." Jennifer smiled and kissed him back. The ferry docked and they were off to the Ritz Hotel.
When they arrived at the Ritz, and entered the lobby, a red-headed reporter was waiting for them in hopes that she may interview them. She introduced herself to them. "Hello", my name is Louise Talbot, and I am from the London Chronicle may I take a few moments of your time? Jonathan and Jennifer looked at each other and were responsive, Jonathan said they were their to celebrate their 20th Anniversary, and not on company business. Jonathan being very cordial invited the young lady to join them for an afternoon cocktail. After the interview, the woman was very nice and said her good-byes. How about that Jonathan said, another Louise. I wonder if that is her real name…they both laughed and went to their suite.
Maria asked if they needed anything, Jonathan said no, not really. Freeway came running in with a bark and charged the both of them, he was so happy to see them, Jennifer hugged him, and Jonathan kissed him. After which, Jonathan insisted that Jennifer rest before they go out for dinner. She agreed as she did feel a little on the tired side, and fell asleep.
Jonathan went to wake Jennifer and said come on "sleepy head"…it is 5:30 kissed her and said by the time we shower and dress it will be close to 7:00 and our reservations are for 7:30 pm. He kissed her again, and they both went into the shower, she said, where are you going….you will see, he said. They dressed and were out in time for their reservations at the Windsor Downs Club for dinner. It was the most elegant restaurant in London, Jonathan wanted it to be extra special. After dinner they went to the Kensington Club to visit with their friend Claude, he being the Manager of the Kensington Club, where Jennifer had gotten into trouble with a Baron many years before. They visited with him, had a brandy and left.
They headed back to the Ritz Hotel around 1:00 am…Jonathan really didn’t want to keep Jennifer out this late as they had an early flight to Paris the next morning. Maria had all their bags ready, as she and James along with Freeway would be leaving for Los Angeles the next evening. Jonathan asked Jennifer if she were okay and she responded with rolled eyes, "Jonathan, I am fine"…well he said, I want you to stay that way. They were ready for bed kissed each other good night and got a good nights sleep.
The next morning Maria had breakfast ready for them and Jennifer had to say her good-byes to Freeway. That took about an hour, let’s go Jonathan said, and off they went. They were going to Paris, then to Burgundy for a Polo match with their friend Andre de La chenes. He was very fond of Jennifer; and Jonathan was a little jealous of him and would have to keep an eye on him. After Paris, they were going to Monaco, to meet with Prince Albert for a charity on the Wildlife Foundation and the Grace Kelly Foundation, then off to Munich, where they would spend a week with Simone and Peter. Simone and Peter had a baby girl who was now almost 5 years old and they named her Jennifer. They had adopted Macmillan who is now 12, and Jennifer wanted so much just to hug him again, and to see how big Freeway III had gotten. Jonathan and Jennifer couldn’t wait to see them.
Upon their arrival in Paris, they had gone to the Hart Industries Suite at the La Chateau de Royale. They spent the day and night there, did some shopping, and then were on their way to Burgundy. Andre was waiting for them at his Chateau, and double hugged Jennifer…Jonathan just watched. Now, Andre said, I have a surprise for you, I am now married. Jonathan thought, what a relief. Jennifer laughed at Jonathan, and said darling fear not, I have only eyes for you…Jonathan said, I certainly hope so. They had a beautiful dinner just the four of them, and Jonathan noticed that Andre was paying special attention to Jennifer, and Andre’s wife, did not like it at all. Jonathan thought this would be a good time for he and Jennifer to turn in. Jonathan said, let’s go darling. Jennifer said, "why" I am having a good time. Jonathan, took her by the arm and said that is precisely why. Darling, Jonathan said, I think you had one cocktail too many, and they went off to their room. Jennifer asked what was that all about, and started to get the hiccups. I think Andre is paying too much attention to you, I don’t like it, and neither did his wife. Jennifer, laughed, darling she said, I think your jealous. Jonathan did agree with her, and that made the evening more enjoyable, as they had proved to each other how much they mean to one another.
The next day was the Polo Match and Jonathan didn’t want Jennifer to ride, but she insisted, and Andre made sure that she was on his team. Jonathan was on the other team and whispered in her ear before the match, and said to her I am going to beat the pants off of him and you…Jennifer laughed at him, and said try it. Andre had played dirty, and managed to get Jonathan’s pony to throw him. Jonathan was hurt, and was unable to continue, therefore, Andre’s team won, and he tried to get Jennifer to ride off with him after the match. Jennifer would not, and this made Andre very angry…a woman refusing him, how dare her. Jonathan, did not like his kind of play, and said, darling, it is time for us to leave. Andre and Jonathan got into a terrible fight, as Andre tried again to lure Jennifer off, of course, that would never happen. Jonathan and Jennifer were very angry, they went to their room, packed and left. Jonathan was in lots of pain, so they stayed at a Chateau in Burgundy that night, and left for Monaco the next afternoon.
When they arrived in Monaco, Jonathan had to go to the doctor, as his ribs were very sore, only to find out that he had broken ribs. The doctor wanted to hospitalize him, but, he refused, because he would never leave Jennifer anywhere alone in a strange place. They stayed at the Princess Grace Hotel in Monaco, with rest and strapped up tight Jonathan would be able to attend the events for the Wildlife Foundation which Jennifer was hosting, and the Grace Kelly Foundation, which Prince Albert was hosting.
They stayed in for two days, and Jonathan still had to be strapped, but he was able to get around pretty well. They went out for a long walk that afternoon, and that evening they were going to one of the most elegant affairs in Monaco. They showered, and Jennifer helped Jonathan dress. She then dressed in a beautiful white strapless evening dress with a full skirt and a tiara in her hair. She looked beautiful. Jonathan teased her and said he wasn’t taking her anywhere, as he was afraid he would meet up with another Andre. Jonathan said, why don’t we stay in and play fun and games? Jennifer said, your in no condition for fun and games, Jonathan looked at her and replied, wanna bet? They laughed, he kissed her, you look beautiful, darling, he said, and off to the Palace they went.
They arrived at the Palace where Prince Albert greeted them, he took Jennifer’s hand and kissed it. They met Princess Caroline and Princess Stefanie, Prince Rainer was unable to attend because of ill health. Prince Albert paid lots of attention to Jennifer, but Jonathan felt safe, he was much too young for Jennifer. The evening was a huge success, there were many dignitaries, and half of the proceeds went to the Wildlife Foundation in Kenya and the other half went to the Grace Kelly Foundation for the Welfare of Children, in Monaco. Prince Albert danced with Jennifer most of the evening, as Jonathan was much too sore to do too much dancing. Jonathan watched the two of them whirl around, she looked just like a Princess and, thought, here we go again, another Andre. That evening they both laughed over it…Jennifer said, darling, I love only you, don’t worry so much.
Prince Albert called Jennifer the next day to go for a stroll in the piazza, Jonathan was quite jealous, but, as he thought before, Prince Albert is too young for her, he was also quite worried about Jennifer doing too much and getting extremely tired. She reassured Jonathan that she was fine, and she was excited about meeting the Prince. Prince Albert had taken her to a very exclusive Café, they had lunch and drank Champaign, while Jonathan stayed in and had graham crackers and milk.
When Jennifer came back, Jonathan was sleeping. She kissed him, and covered him with a quilt. She was being funny, she put a rose on the pillow next to him. When he woke up and saw the rose, he said, you will never let me live that one down… will you?
Jonathan was feeling better but, he didn’t want to go out for dinner, so they had dinner sent to their suite. Prince Albert had called to ask if they would like to go to dinner, and Jennifer said no they were staying in. He then asked Jennifer if she would like to go, but she refused. Prince Albert was disappointed, and he said to Jennifer, I guess perhaps it is better this way. Jennifer said to Jonathan, he sounded disappointed because I would not go; Jonathan said, naturally he is disappointed look who refused him. She poked Jonathan, and he threw his arms around her, kissed her, and said now isn’t this better…always, she said.
The Harts were getting ready to go to Munich for a week, after which, Jonathan was going back to Los Angeles to work on a merger, and Jennifer was going on to Kenya. There was a knock at the door, and Jennifer answered it…there was a delivery of a dozen red roses for Jennifer from Prince Albert. Jonathan looked at her, and said well he does have good taste. The flowers were put down, and Jennifer said, let’s go. Darling, Jonathan said, really, you cannot leave them, they are so beautiful. She picked them up, and as they left the room, a maid was walking past them, and she handed them to her. Jennifer told Jonathan she only keeps flowers that he sends her. Let’s go, she said, I want to get to Munich, and see Simone, Peter and the children.
The Hart jet was ready for take off, Frank greeted them, and said that lunch would be ready shortly. Jennifer said she was not hungry, and of course, Jonathan said the same. Put the lunch on hold Frank, we will have it later, Jonathan said. Jennifer sat very quiet, Jonathan asked if she were all right, yes, she said…I was thinking of Prince Albert. You know darling, Jennifer said, he really did come on strong when we went to lunch, I didn’t want to tell you. I always knew him to be a gentlemen, but, this changed my mind, he really is a playboy. Jonathan looked at her with amazement, and said to her…did you respond, of course not, she said, I love you too much, and I am not looking for a son…they both laughed, and Jonathan told her to put it behind her. Jennifer put her seat back, and rested a bit…Jonathan just stared at her, and said to himself, I wonder what I would do without her. Later, they had a glass of wine and were getting ready to land in Munich.
Jonathan, said, darling here we are. Jennifer was thrilled as she could see Simone from the plane window, she looked so much like her. As they de-planed, Simone, Peter, Jennifer and Max were waiting for them to come down the steps…Max ran up to Jennifer and called her his guardian angel. They all laughed over this, but, to Max she was part of his life. Simone cried when she saw Jennifer and said, I never thought this would ever happen, for us to meet again…Jennifer said why, I can never let you leave my mind, all hugged and kissed each other.
They arrived at Simone and Peter’s and Freeway III came running to Jennifer, almost like he knew her, she hugged and kissed him and put him down. Peter showed the Hart’s their room. It was a beautiful room over looking a beautiful courtyard with lovely flowers, on the third floor. Jennifer and Jonathan had all the privacy in the world and that is what they like, otherwise, they would have gone to a hotel. Jennifer was getting their bags unpacked, when Jonathan complained of his rib cage…he wanted to rest awhile before going downstairs, and fell asleep. Jennifer rested also, she was beginning to feel very tired, but would not tell Jonathan. When they both woke up, it was nearly 9: 00 pm, and they went downstairs, and apologized for missing whatever Simone and Peter had planned for them. Oh that is all right Peter said, we know that you were tired, but, we do have some sandwiches for you, and wine. Ooh, Jennifer said, I like that. They ate a bit, then sat and talked about themselves, and Jennifer told them that she had a miscarriage, and said, Jonathan and I have each other, that’s all that matters. Jennifer asked where Max and Jennifer were, oh, away in dreamland by now, Simone said, but, you will have a full day with them tomorrow. Max really wants to spend time with both of you. Peter said, but, tomorrow before you do anything Jennifer, Max and I have a surprise for you. Jennifer said, for me, she couldn’t wait.
The next morning everyone was up bright and early; they had breakfast together, and Jennifer said, okay, where is my surprise? Max, said oh not here Jennifer, it is somewhere else, Jennifer was disappointed. The Hart’s went to their room to get ready. She just couldn’t wait and started to ask Jonathan, but, he would not tell her…you know? she said, yes, I do, he said. Why you stinker, tell me, tell me, tell me…no, no, no he said….okay she said, no love for you tonight, oh he said I didn’t know that was going to be on our agenda. Always, she said, they both laughed and he kissed her. Darling you look beautiful, why thank you she said, and off they went.
Peter had a limo pick them all up, and took them to the hospital where Max and Jennifer had the bone marrow transplant. Jennifer said, boy this looks familiar. Max said, it sure does….Jennifer patted him on the head, and he took her hand, like he owned her. Jonathan said, hey Max take it easy with her, she belongs to me…I know said Max seriously. When they had gotten to the 5th floor, before getting off the elevator, Peter told Jennifer to close her eyes, oh a surprise here, she said. They walked her off the elevator stood in the corridor, and told her to uncover her eyes…little Jennifer started yelling, your wing, your wing, Jennifer stood in amazement, there was a new wing built in her honor, and it was called THE JENNIFER HART WING. She began to cry. She said, Jonathan how long did you know this? For a long time darling….I, donated the entire transplant unit and wing, in your name. It was a beautiful wing, there was a large cake for Jennifer, and some of the same staff was still there, and came up to hug her, she was just thrilled. Max gave her a beautiful bouquet of roses, she looked at Jonathan, and said, these I will keep, Jonathan said, I figured you would.
They went back to the house, and Simone and Peter had a wonderful evening planned for them. Tonight is children’s night so dress casual Simone said, we are going to the children’s favorite restaurant…Mc Donald’s….but, the next evening is strictly for adults. All laughed and agreed. After Mc Donald’s they went for a stroll on the Maxmillan Square had ice cream cones, and Jennifer did some shopping. She turned to Peter, and said isn’t this where I was mugged?…yes he said.
Their stay in Munich was wonderful, the week had gone by so quickly, and before the Harts went their separate ways, she to Kenya and Jonathan back to Los Angeles, they wanted to spend their last evening together alone. Simone and Peter understood their love for each other and agreed that they should have an evening to themselves. They dressed, and Peter had told them, they had to go to the Biefield Tower, he reserved a table for them. It was a beautiful German restaurant atop the Biefield Tower. They ate their favorite German food, danced and drank Champaign. Jonathan handed Jennifer a small box, she opened it, she had tears in her eyes…it was a beautiful heart shape pendent with diamonds. Jonathan your a romantic she said…yes, I know he said, and my love is just for you, and mine for you she said. They left the restaurant, and headed back to Simone and Peter’s. Everyone was in bed, and the Harts went up to their room, finished the evening with passionate love.
