Top Five Poll

Now that we have written thirty scrolls (and don't worry, we plan on doing at least thirty more) Kye and I find ourselves curious as to which scrolls are liked the most. We are inviting readers to send their favorite five scrolls which we will post as soon as we get a few responses. We will identify the reader submitting each poll only if the reader gives us permission to do so. Please list your top five favorite scrolls in an email toShana. If you would like to give reasons particular scrolls are your favorites, feel free, and we'll post those comments too. For a complete list of all thirty scrolls, along with a brief summary, just CLICK HERE.

Thank you!

We officially have our second review for the site, and boy, is my head swollen! It is especially gratifying, since Zeen chose to review The Snow Owl, which some of you know was not well received. I am very grateful for Zeen for her wondeful words, and you can bet Kye and I are already at work in fulfilling her requests.

The Snow Owl, The Xena and Gabrielle XXX Scrolls By Shana and Kye (X&G, Series)

I have to hand it to these authors again, for creating a series that extends far beyond just the PWP genre. There is substance here folks, real and honest substance.

Like this scroll or not, and I’d advise anyone who reads it to heed the warnings placed upon it by the authors, it has an engaging plot, the harsh realities of the bard and warriors relationship, and enough emotion to make even the toughest reader flinch.

Set after India and Eli (the only good thing that ever came of India was Gabby’s cute haircut), the bard is on a different path, one that does not involve Xena in certain ways. Being one who has lived through this sort of thing, I think that Shana (who wrote the scroll alone by request from Kye), got all of the emotions dead on. From Xena’s sense of hurt, of stifled desire, of anger and of guilt, to Gabrielle’s enlightenment, her own guilt and anger as well, and her never-ending love for the woman who owns her soul.

Some people might not like this scroll, because they cannot imagine any sort of problems that can come up in the relationship between X & G, but any reader who desires truth in their fiction, who desires the gritty and hard and sometimes ugly things that can happen when two people are in love, will see that Shana has done something quite remarkable. I plaud her.

And since I know the authors do take requests, I’ve got one for them. This is the FIRST TIME I have ever requested an author write anything, but I am not about to get to the BOTTOM of why I never have. I’d like to get BACK to a certain time in Gabrielle’s INNOCENCE, one that I don’t think I’ve read. It’s got to involve a patient Xena, and an anxious Gabby, but BOTTOM line is that I am sure the writers can do it. Uh-huh..... ~Zeenie

I was surprised and pleased last night to find the Gabwhackers site had reviewed Part 20 or our scrolls, Amazon Truth. Here's what they had to say:

Amazon Truths By Shana and Kye (The Xena and Gabrielle XXX Scrolls, Part 20,Series)

As a long time fan of the PWP, it isn’t often that you find an author who can pull a story off with a certain amount of freshness. There has to be more to it than just the rutting, more than who puts what where, and how, because there are just so many tales in this genre to wade through in order to find the good ones. Ah, but this ‘Plot? What Plot?’ series has two authors, and, well, two is always better than one. I have been following this series since Scroll One,and found that the latest installment, ‘Amazon Truths,’ left this customer more than...satisfied.

The scroll takes place when Gabs and Xena meet up with Ephiny and a whole slew of emotions rise up for both of our girls, seeing as how both of them have a confession to make about the night that Gabrielle was crowned an Amazon princess. Any couple that can solve a few things with a little graphic girl on girl action is a-ok with me, and the authors remain true to the essence of what these characters are; lovers, but first and foremost, friends who can work out any problem with a little talking. Just a little, this is a PWP after all!

My only complaint has to be that all of the scrolls start with Xena’s take on the action, and then Gabrielle’s, so by the time you do get through Xena’s report, you’re not entirely sure Gabs has much different to say. It would do well to have Gabrielle’s scroll first, or even to make Xena’s not so long, so that Gabrielle finishes the action through her experience, and the reader doesn’t feel that they’ve already heard it all.

All of the installments focus on a certain time or Ep, and desire, that there is something here for everyone. It is an erotic, scintillating, and sometimes fantastically vulgar look into the XXX lives of our favorite heroines. Now if they could only translate these to film ... ~~~ ^^ Zeen

From Kye:
Thanks for visiting Shana's website! She is an awesome writer, filled with wonderful ideas to keep the Warrior Princess and her Bard very busy. We appreciate your visits and hope to keep you returning for juicier scrolls.

X: "The Dark Side…. Intoxicating, isn't it?"
G: "Oh yeah...intoxicating!"

The Xena and Gabrielle XXX Scrolls is a series of writings which cover the same issues from both the Warrior Princess and her Bard's point of view. Each part is a story unto itself, and some will follow along with various episodes of the series, while others may not. Most, if not all, of the scrolls will feature explicit sex, and each will contain its own specific disclaimer. These scrolls are not necessarily written to be realistic, as most of them seem more fantastic than real life, but we have done our best to remain in character as Xena and Gabrielle, as we perceive them. If the reader perceives their characters differently, that's understandable, but please refrain from writing and telling us. We all see the characters differently, and that's part of the fun. . Enjoy! And please, send feedback to the address on the main page. We are really curious as to how our readers feel about our interpretations.
