Cast On Thee

Lord, I was cast on the before I was born
Given away thrice before the dawning of that morn

First I was given to my mother's older brother

Then taken back and offered to another

On the morning of my birth, the doctor cried

I can't save them both, one will die

Yes Lord, While still in my mother's womb
I was surrendered to you
So a young girl may live to learn of your truth

Just as you formed me in my mother's womb

You brought me forth,

you delivered me

that I may speak
to testify of you
