Ransom Edward Rainwater

Ransom Edward Rainwater- Born 1830 Maringo County Alabama, married H.E.(Name unknown). Ransom came to texas to work on a farm owned by H.M. Findley at Alto ,near Rusk Texas, in late 1856 or early 1857.
Father of three Children. He has not ben located after the war.
He entered Company A, 18th Texas Infantry, CSA, April 1862 in Cherokee County, Texas. That unit was involved in some 24 conflicts. and probably more died from disease and illness than by their enemy .
Father of Ransom was William Rainwater. born 1806 in Tennessee, who also served in the Civil War with the Alabama 36th Infantry, Co. I.
Ransom Edward's Mother Was Caroline (Davis) Rainwater, born 1811 in Alabama.
