INTRO 2: The promotional visit by the men of the Backstreet Boys was BIG! Days after days they did interviews, for every part of the world. The day Hitkrant traveled to our 'Eastern Neighbors' {Germany}, there was organized a gigantic press conference, for a whole room full of journalists from all kinds of countries. The BSB just had some days off, and that was obvious. Each one of them was relaxed, 'not tired', and also not unimportant - VERY happy to be back again. One of the reasons why Nick, Howie, AJ, Kevin and B-Rok were so happy was, according to themselves, their 'new start'. And then they weren't only talking about their new single and CD, but especially about their new management. Last year all of a sudden came the news that they'd fired their old manager Johnny Wright, also because of a financial matter. Now they told this had only been one reason to brake the contract: according to themselves, Wright gave them work schemes that were much too tight, which made the Boys tired and mise rable. Now they are looking forward to everything again, and it's pretty obvious. When the presenter of the press conference called it to an end, the Boys even asked twice for more questions; it was clear they enjoyed it. And that's how we like it!
Howie: But we keep possibilities open for the future.
Brian: ... and we didn't know a thing about it. And we're also not really happy with it. We'd rather waited some longer with showing the new music.
Kevin: The surprise would've been bigger then.
Kevin: Look, we're not perfect. I personally have been brought up with the idea that sex is something for two people who are married. But if we also always keep us to that...?
Brian (laughing): How old were you again by now, Kev?
Kevin: I'm 27, so I think that's pretty clear!
Howie: I speak for all of us if I say we're attracted to girls.
Kevin: I do have friends who are gay, it's not like we have a problem with it or something. It's just we're not gay ourselves.
Brian: But if you take a look on the Internet, you'll find that at least three of us are gay, I think!
Nick: No-one has ever threatened to quit, although everyone sometimes gets to a point he's had it. We just had some time off for the first time, after working for three years non-stop! But this means everything to us.
Brian: I do have to say, that when you're gonna have heart surgery, you're gonna take a whole different view at things. Backstreet Boys is great, but when your health is in danger, it doesn't mean a thing anymore!
Kevin: Tons of dollars to damage to cars, they were jumping on...
Howie: They come to our houses. And then they bring flowers for my mom, haha. Some magazine unfortunately gave out our home addresses.
Nick: Can I take this chance to thank the fans who tidied up my garden...?
