MORE 50's & 60's ROCK'N
ROLL
This background complements of
MORE 50's & 60's ROCK'N
ROLL
WELCOME~
This is the second page of
memory-melodies
that I have put together for some oldies
entertainment.
I remember when I used to dance in the
gymnasium, during lunch, in my stocking
feet. The first song that I can
remember dancin' to was "Rock Around The
Clock" by Bill Haley And The Comets.
I began the seventh grade (Junior High
School) in the fall of 1954, in Ontario,
California. Yep, I'm one of those West
Coast gals.
I loved to watch American Bandstand on
our black and white TV. Even watched
the Mickey Mouse Club and had a crush on
Tim Considine (Spin And Marty
series). And, as did most of the
teenagers then, watched The Ozzie and
Hariett Show, Father Knows Best,
Donna Reed, etc, etc,
etc.......
The 50's was a wonderful time in the US.
It was a rare treat to go out and have a
hamburger from a burger joint! I'm sure
that we drove our parents crazy with our
rock and roll music, but music was
taking alot of different directions at
that time.
Big bands were still going strong,
rhythm and blues
was gettin' into the scene, more and
more. Folk music played a big part, and
of course that good ol' country was
right there too! Just all kinds of music
to enjoy, and it was right at our
fingertips!
How about some old tunes to jog
your
memory?
If a see a tune and ya wanna
hear it,
just click on the title and keep on
touring this site. Please make yourself
at home, and do enjoy
yourself~

RICK NELSON~love always
Because the fifties and sixties were
filled with
stories about UFO's etc. I just had to
place the
above flying saucer on this page.
I must say that I do
believe that I
saw a "flying saucer" when I was a
kid.....
