Forgive me while I slant this
and point it all towards you
Forgive me while I add suspect
to everything you do
As long as I can lay the blame
so it's not close to me
And I can hide my truths in this
so that you cannot see
I am the quilty party here
of that there is no doubt
But you allow me to confuse
so that I am not found out
I will not have to answer
for the many deeds I've done
I simply find a way to lay the guilt
as if you are the one
In fact it is so easy
the path well traveled now
You've started now to help me
without even knowing how
In fact I can now ask forgiveness
it is the least that I can do
You see you will forgive me
but who will forgive you
