DAYS LEFT Til DRUNKEN MASTER

WELCOME TO A.R.C. V.2

Well all things change and it was about time that the Austin Rave Correspondent changed. The A.R.C. has been online since January 1st 1998. Back then here in Austin there wasn't an online source that dealt with the Austin Electronic Music Scene. There certainly wasn't a website with a message board or event calandar or even something that had pictures of past parties, but then again the scene has changed since then as well.

The Austin scene back then was small compared to the large massives we have today. I guess you can say there was a lot of innocence back then and a lot of the parties...the really good parties were strictly underground. I remember a time where map points were the "norm" in Austin. Austin was all about small intimate gatherings where people got together and actually enjoyed the music. Back then parties at the Austin Music Hall were seldom over 1500 much less 2000 people and now it seems the Austin Music Hall is TOO Small for parties these days. And if you're and old school head like me, you are probably burned out on the AMH which is Austin's only real legal large scale venue. Whoever builds a large scale venue in the 5,000 capacity range is going to make a killing!

There will be a lot of construction going on here and I will make little changes here and there when I have time and since I will be going on vacation soon, please be patient with the construction. I plan on this being a summer project.

Anywayz, back to the construction and feel free to contact me about bugs you may find.

CHEERS!
